Referring to "Archons are false Gods" part - In the first chapter (Prologue) of official manga, Venessa asks Venti about Celestia. Judging from his look, he's both sad and terrified by that question which he ignores, as we can see three shady characters with red background behind them. My theory is: Those three guys are some sort of priests, who are controlling Archons in some way, watching them down from Celestia. As Raiden Shogun said in her voiceover, Visions aren't necessary granted by Archons, which is another sign of something not being right.

The part about ruin guards has some misinformation. They were indeed called field tillers in the past but they were not used to defend or guard ruins. They were war machines in an attempt to conquer more land (hence 'field tillers') to expand the nation of khanria (excuse my spelling). When the nation was defeated the field tillers roamed the land and were attracted to ruins similar to those of their homeland, resulting in the name 'ruin guard'

Morax, Guizhong, Andrius, Decarabian, Havria and others were all gods prior to the archon war. It's worth noting that you don't have to be a god to become an archon, but the process of becoming an archon will turn you into a god in the process. Barbatos was just a minor wind spirit, who only became the god of freedom when Andrius dropped out of the running for anemo archon and let him ascend to Celestia uncontested. And Venti is seemingly STILL the god of freedom even now, despite losing his gnosis.

It would be cliche, but it really depends on how the build up to it and reveal it, there are some instances where it was painfully obvious who the bad guy was, but the way the author executed it and revealed it felt satisfying. Or maybe pretending to be shocked. My own theory is that Paimon is part of the Twin’s power that got materialized when separated by Unknown God, hence they fall down to Teyvat almost powerless. Paimon will sacrifice herself by giving up her physical form to be the twin’s wings once they have reunited and settled their differences. Hence, “emergency food”.

My theory is : Paimon is our vision, because visions are given to people so the celestia can keep watch of those people, so paimon is here to keep watch on us aswell. Editttt : On the recent event with kichiboushi the tanuki, kichiboushi miss pronounced paimon's name to "*BYEmon" "SPYmon" And "paiMORE" It sounds like a hint from mihoyo that paimon is a spy, like the vision theory I mentioned, and she's more than what meets the eye, and possibly will leave us someday Edit 2 : Found a theory that said paimon mightve been the one to grant us the power to weild the elements from the statues, not to mention the statues have a similar design to paimon. 20:16 Lisha - From what I recall (therefore take with a grain of salt) of world quests in the area, Lisha used to be a city/civilization somewhat aligned with Liyue but not under Morax's protection directly? The civilization collapsed 500 years ago after being overrun by the Cataclysm and the monsters from it. The theory is that the relatively recent troubles with the Chasm, where the Traveler meets NPC miners talking about being unemployed, is related to whatever destroyed Lisha, now reawakened.

Interesting, the connection between Asmoday's three heads and the three moon sisters is something i haven't thought of before... however, while i can still see Paimon being Asmoday, i'm not sure i can say the same for one of the three moon sisters Imo that would depend more on if Asmoday is canonically older or younger than the moon sisters - if she is, there's simply no way she's one of the moon sisters, and if she's not, there's also the question on if the moon sisters can or cannot reincarnate I don't think there's enough evidence to say anything for sure, but i wouldn't call any theory too far fetched when it comes to this game anyway haha

It does have an amazing story, but at the end of the day it's still a predatory gambling game that is designed to frustrate you into spending. And it's an expensive game at that, for the price of a full Triple AAA game you only get 20 rolls, and you need 160 for a guaranteed character. If your luck is bad, you can spend over $4,000 maxing out just a single character. Other than the greed factor and the time gating, it is an amazing game though

Now... in resuming it I will butcher it, so my apologies to people that already knows, I mean no harm. The assessment originates from a core point of Gnosticism and the whole game is based on it, so... Gnosticism says in general that everyone has the potential to reach Godhood, the more your soul *see* each reincarnation the more divine you are, and that knowledge and spiritual enlightenment, is called Gnosis. Gnosticism doesn't care about sin and repentance, but with illusion (delusion) and enlightenment (vision) To understand the truth of the world and ourselves, that is what matters. However, to be able to *see* means realizing that the world we are living is _fake_ Created by a false god (Demiurge) to chain us, physically and spiritually. To just live here every day as mere humans, instead of transcend and be what we could be: gods. Now, the term Archon (ἄρχοντες) in Gnosticism is applied to the Seven Rulers of Darkness, and we must reject them to escape the false world. The Seven are our enemies and, sure as hell, not real gods. At least in the terms of what Gnosticism recognizes as such. They kind of represent feelings (not necessary what we would call bad ones) that would serve as anchor to the world and make us *not see* The problem is, that in the game, this is contradictory. The game calls them Archons, but they have Gnosis. Those are initially opposites, but because they reject the position of Archons and lose their Gnosis... I guess could work in some way? 42:35 *The Archons are not as old as they seem* You kind of missed the point here, as is referring as Archons as the role/position, not the people in the role. What is saying is that Archons is something recent in comparison with the Genesis of the World. Because there was no need for them before/Celestia wasn't here to create that role. And this is my own theory, but that the visions come from The Irminsul Tree, so Celestia is lying and canalizing the energy that should return to the ley lines and The Irminsul. That is why is petrified, there is nothing that "waters" it. And an important point that is not in your iceberg, in Gnosticism, they see Lucifer as an ally, because no matter his motives, he rebels against the false god and shares that hidden knowledge. Lucifer was called _the Morning Star_ and _the Shining Light_ and so you know, the Travelers in every language are named after the concept of light, and started as stars travelling the sky. They are rebellious, even recognized as criminals in both Liyue, and Inazuma, countries ruled by Archons. Paimon is the first servant of Lucifer, so are the demons in Ars Goethia... I don't think I need to add anything else here.

And she dismisses them to who knows where when we change the party. -The domains where we kill already dead people over and over, can be thanks to her. -She can flight. -We fished her and who knows how much time she was underwater. -The shop where we get all kind of crap (weapons and people) is called Paimon's Bargains. -Our amazing storage capacity exist just because of her. And more stuff that you can pick up on. I don't think they chose the names of the Ars Goetia just by coincidence and sounding cool, and I am interested in where this could go. as a short update: in enkanomiya, people there found that there was a time in teyvat where celestia didnt exist yet, that includes gods. the original "gods" are the seven primal "dragon kings" (dragons as in vishaps, including azhdaha), hence explaining the "the gods are not as old as they seem" theory.

For the link with honkai (i played almost everything): In chapter 17 of the main story, in one of the cutscenes, Dvalin appears when Otto (antagonist in honkai) is monitoring the imaginary tree (or sth like that i don't remember what he was exactly doing but it's linked to this tree were are all worlds) Some Honkai characters also have Genshin counterparts: Raiden Shogun and Mei, Yae Miko and Sakura, Unknown god and Herrscher of the Void, Venti and Wendy,...

One of my favourite theories is similar to the limiting technology one: The direct translation for visions from the CN version is "eyes of the gods". Visions are only given to those with aa certain amount of ambition. Because Celestia is worried they will be overthrown by humans, they use visions to keep an eye on people who could potentially threaten them, which is why visions began to be handed out after the Archon War.

Archon is just a title for the gods that hold a gnosis. Also it's one of those redundant terms the localization team put in to sound fancy and now there is the issue of calling a god an Archon who discarded her gnosis therefore not affiliated with Celestia anymore. In other languages the members of the Seven are just called gods with no distinction between them and the others. Some of the lingering theories are based on outdated information and were disproven long ago by world building. It was stated that only two of the original Seven remain but that doesn't mean the newer ones are actually all new or young gods. The original god of electro died 500 years ago and her sister who ruled and fought in the Archon War together with her took up the title. The good of Dendro however is actually about 500 years old having inherited her position.

About the "Archons are false gods" Me and my brother noticed that all of the seven ideals the archons pursue are either fake under the argument of they being human beliefs, and that there are atomic / molecular compositions for all seven elements that may deceive people at first The only god that may apply to the title of "True god" is the god of time, as all elements need time to function properly I'm the Genshin savvy, my brother knows a lot more about science and stuff so I might get this wrong but: Anemo can be reffered to just oxygen, but it's the flow of cause-effect allowing movement with time. In the context of a tale with start and end, "Freedom" is an ilussion a character may get about being able to change the content of the tale, when in reality everything he makes builds up to his own story. Geo can be tied to the unification of elements. We weren't able to find a way to demerit "Contracts", let me know if someone gets something Electro in Genshin is very likely to not be the representation of "Eternity", nor electricity, but the constant change and cyclical nature of the world. If time would ever stop, the concept of "Eternity" would no longer make sense. Dendro is the element of "Knowledge", which formed through evolution as a way for living beings to be able to remember the instincts that helped them survive, this is known to be just a very complex composition of molecules that act in one's brain or body. Hydro may sound as just hydrogen but I believe it can apply to anything under the liquid status. "Justice" is the human perception of balance. Same luck as Geo honestly Pyro is a concentration of energy due to a chemical reaction that causes elements to move at a higher pace. Higher pace is where "War" may come in place, but this would need constant movement which would be impossible without time. Cryo does not directly refference Ice. Ice is any liquid with a generalized lack of movement around it to a point where it would seem that time did stopped. Cryo is the generalized lack of movement from where a character may have a goal to stop time and pursue something. There's a theory that mentions that the Cryo Archon is the god of Love, but me and my brother think the Tsaritsa is also the Archon of Hate, because in order to hate something, you must need to love something else in comparison, "Hate" generates Cryo energy as well. (So you "Love" to "Hate" something). Additionally, archons may be puppets from Celestia to keep an eye on Vision holders to avoid some human tries to take over it, we may even know a bit more about it with the new Raiden Shogun boss Baizhu seems to be researching on Qiqi for her preservation methods as a way of preserving knowledge, given how Genshin works, I assume the Tsaritsa was the only one to remember that all archons were forcefully commanded to destroy Khaenri'ah , explaining all of the "Rebellion against the divine" stuff Additionally additionally, this is HUGE speculation but my brother once dreamed to be in Teyvat and was able to traverse most of it. He predicted the way how stuff tends to dissapear when coming close to the end of the map before the archipelago update and found out that the Hydro archon is A HUGE LIAAAR, he even said that she may come from another existential realm and has a close relationship with either Asmoday or the God of Time which sounds reasonable but waay to far-fetched and with no evidence at all. He apparently experienced so much about the other nations (Especially how fire-arms are a recent invention and were created and distributed on Natlan by Fountaine, or the fact that Khaenri'ah also exists in a different existential realm outside of Teyvat) but that's as much as he remembers

Well, I do have ADHD, and that is clearly true with Sucrose and Albedo. She can be a bit forgetful at times (one symptom of ADHD), and also she can get a bit hyper sometimes (expressed by happiness) One fact as well, Sucrose has rejection-sensitive dysphoria. She is often scared to blamed about her experiments failing, saying that Eula tried out one of Sucrose's experiments, but it failed. Eula is about to head back to complain, but Sucrose has labeled that project as a failure. As for Albedo, he is often alone most of the time, provoking loneliness and no friendships. He can wander to the mountains sometimes, which is also in relation to ADHD. His emotions can reflect somewhat of depression, since he can be emotionless, speaking very plainly. (If you wonder why I mention about depression with ADHD, these disorders both have a relationships in terms of emotions and actions.) Feel free to add or criticize anything here! If you have ADHD/ADD and don't understand much about it, just know that it is a complicated thing to learn, and that you should be yourself.

I have a feeling that Genshin world is like No Game No Life where you beat the leader of a country and collect their chess pieces before challenging the Divine in an ultimate game to decide the next Divine Khaenri'ah tried to cheat by joining the game without having an archon (player) who receive their license by winning the archon war so the GM aka the divine ban them from competing so our sister after having an intense gaming moment decided to grind for 500 years and prepare to collect the chess pieces and challenge the divine for revenge probably make a new rule and play a different game or something cuz she doesn't like the way things are atm While the other archon, at least the one we have seen so far don't really care about Gnosis or the new game plus as they already have their fun in the archon war and decided to just rule without it or let mankind rule themselves why they observe from the sideline. BTW what even is Gnosis, I assume it was some kind of tool that allow the gods to gain power through the faith of their people and allow the user to use some special ability like Morax creating mora, but other than Venti who started as a weak spirit, Zhongli and Ei are already OP without it and probably the other Archon too unless the special ability of Gnosis is crucial to whatever they are doing right now?

Regarding 42:36 and the theory of the archons being young, I suppose it refers to how the travellers are probably much more older than even the oldest archons, being otherworldly beings who have been travelling for who knows how long from world to world, meaning Teyvat isn't their first world they've visited, and probably not the last.

this is just my speculation, as im not caught up to everything in genshin impact. for the "archons are false gods" part, i wonder if it was just a misunderstanding of the line? archons are separate from gods by title; even if an archon steps down, they are still gods. god would be the "species" and "archon" is moreso a title. if you look up the definition of a "god," there are two definitions you can work off of. "(in Christianity and other monotheistic religions) the creator and ruler of the universe and source of all moral authority; the supreme being." or "(in certain other religions) a superhuman being or spirit worshiped as having power over nature or human fortunes; a deity." if we are operating off the former, then this could imply that the archons are being puppeteered by the true ruler of the universe, and are therefore not all-powerful, making them distinct from gods. if we operate off the latter, it could just be as i initially assume: gods are, moreso, just distinct from adepti and humans, and archon could be an official title gods are crowned with, similarly to how a "monarch" of a country is appointed. _i_ could just be misunderstanding the information given, though. i like felix raycher's theory on it in the comments more than my technical explanation.

Archons and gods are most definitely separate given the many mentions of existing (and dead) gods that are not archons. Even the archon war alone is proof that "god" and "archon" are not synonymous. Gods had to fight before archons even existed for them to take the role of archon. I mean, even Guoba is a god, or at the very least a fallen god. But he isn't and never was an archon.

20:16 I think they meant the ruins that exist in Lisha. Lingju Pass was a stronghold created by Rex Lapis - probably during the Archon War - while Qingxu Pool is even more ancient and was underwater until the end of the archon war, and some book says it was flooded during that conflict and according to Soraya that place was left behind by an 'evil god' who was defeated. Imo the most interesting is Dunyu ruins, it used to be one related to chasm due to the meteor and was a place with jade mines until the cataclysm (according to Records of Jueyun, book 6) forced the population to seal the ruins and migrate to another place and to this day there's not a word, both from yakshas and adepti, about what happened there and why they chose to seal the entire city. And very good video! I'm a lore fan so it was interesting to see it all summarized and to learn new things (except for Kaeya's... rattail or whatever that is in his hair).

I believe that theory that says visions are used to control mankinds most powerful individuals. You said that they don't take away anyone's free will but maybe the "control" it exerts is more subtle, why else would losing a vision lead to a person's loss of motivation? Why would they be forced upon a person even when they don't want them, like Keqing, aren't they supposed to be a gift?
