I think the terms were pretty much interchangeable. It was a much simpler time. Glad you are enjoying the series....we have been approved for season 2. Shooting starts early spring 2023!

There are several Mills in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia that might make some good video subjects

Hi there! Love your tours! Are or were there any mills that did not require a dam? That only rely on the natural flow of the water?

There are a couple in Southwest Missouri. One is called: Falling Springs Mill. It runs by using a natural spring that comes out of a shear clift face. And another is Zanoni Mill that also utilizes a spring. I'm sure there are more.
