I'd love to see a "black market" that doesn't undermine the system. Like "sell" things without a permit but never stock the shop, or sell things that don't have permits, like hermit heads or favors or animals! Edit: did not realize there was a permit for heads. You don't exactly need to drain ocean monuments anymore for efficient prismarine farms. So that would be a plus, but I assume a deal was made in one way or another.

Gem and Stress drained an ocean in a week with Iskall and Joe's help. It's not THAT hard. I actually want to see Hermits try new things and make the permits fit the theme rather than getting permits that already fit. Grian can literally do a treasure ship with the gold and iron. Or even make a mini game where you dive down and try to get as much goodies as possible.

Suggestion to make your building, look more cyberpunk some of the windows need to be different colours like red or blue and white, lost cyber punk you see buildings that have a lot of different signs or lights and the areas always look a little more rundown. Yours is a little too clean. Add advertisement on your building. Or blinking lights and signs. Maybe even Break a few windows

It would actually be cool to see you go for a terracotta monopoly. You could totally find a way to automate the creation so you don’t have to dig. You just need a mud farm that then dries over dripstone with some kind of system to push the clay into a big chunk then you can fire them for terracotta and autocraft into the colors via redstone. And maybe a certain percentage goes into a smelting system for glazed terracotta.

Doc wants the dirt for tera-forming sales so he would love dirt. I think for the door you need like a sea lantern or something. Something bright to simulate a neon light since that is very cyberpunk. That is just me though.

Run down stores in your cyberpunk city selling things for ICoins. ICoins that are just renamed diamonds they can trade one for one or even just rename themselves. That way you can play into both your cyberpunk and Super Villain roles at the same time. Then if anyone says anything just deny it flat out. No no this is just trading. No selling going on here. It's not even real money.

Hey impulse, I recently built the same kelp farm, and found that 1 smoker per 100-110 kelp plants was the best ratio for efficient smoking with kelp blocks (get about 20 in for the 20-block power a kelp block offers)

I grew up in Kurt Cobain's hometown, the punk and grunge scene was huge here. 90 pound wuss and MXPX came and played a show at a little place called Alfie's here back in 95 or 96. The raw quarts and quarts ore will have significantly more market value than the blocks, I expect, there's block accessibility from villagers. The blocks cannot be broken down into raw quarts, though.

Some states have state sanctioned youth work programs (unless federal child labor finally shut them down because they where brutal) in which you could start at 12-13 for summer jobs (in 85-86, I would work the fields starting at sunrise giving corn sex changes (corn starts off male, and you have to "snip" 4 out of 5 rows for proper pollination) come home from 12 hour days 3-4 days per week cramped, dehydrated, and bloody and still only made something like $80 per week) 14 can do highly restricted jobs in grocery. 16 lifts the restrictions significantly, but does still have SOME restrictions

A Black Market that sells stuff that maybe doesn't have a permit, like custom models (carved pumpkins) could be fun. And later on it could be used to rebel a bit against the permit system. Eg: a hermit charges wayyy too much for, say, rockets and not enough hermits complain so nothing is done, it could be a good way to circumvent the system without fully undermining it. A kind of self regulation for hermits in the gray area of abusing the monopoly system. Just a thought. Thanks for all your fun content!

I do love the villain/black market arc idea. It might work if you almost take it from a view more like the mob has taken over the cyberpunk city, and the shops could be tropes like a pop up pet store and other shops that provide random items (whatever is leftover from your projects and adventures) briefly so as not to wreck the economy. Hermits can get the items for free, but anyone who takes you up on them owes the mob (you) a favor. Im sure when Grian starts the next server war it would be helpful to have some favors to call in...

Since endermen can pick up grass blocks and drop them when they die, try and figure out a goofy enderman - grass block farm. Have them fall in a cilinder made with grassblocks that they pick up while falling in cobwebs (to give them time to pick up the blocks). Replace the taken blocks with a piston-contraption. It can be funny content like Tango's gold farm ferris wheel from last season and not be verry productive but somewhat functional

I disagree because the only reason those are “collective” is so they aren’t annoying items to buy having to fly around and find each individual color in different places. I would bet they only broke them apart to be able to have the right amount of permits for an even spread across all the hermits. They likely foresaw the bartering for monopolies as the likely outcome and were ok with it because that creates interactions between hermits and fun content. So it all adds to content and makes it more interesting for how folks end up with certain resources to sell. And think of how annoying it would be to have to build a whole system to just stock one or two colors of some specific item in a shop you don’t even control. You’d have very little incentive to do that. And there would constantly be stock shortages. Or one hermit will take over stocking and just do profit sharing, which is the same thing as a monopoly on a practical level.

Another suggestion would be to make it look like two different designs were mesh together so like a fire station plus arcade or a pizzeria/helicopter pad OK I don't think these are great suggestions, but a lot of things don't make sense in cyberpunk

The Jumanji franchise already has 3 Jumanji movies out. (The Rock's was officially a sequel to Robin Williams version)... Additionally Zathura is officially part of the same continuity as Jumanji... The connection is found in the books, but outside of some marketing material is not mentioned in the movies. So it is Jumanji (Robin Williams) in 95, Spin off Zathura in 05, Sequel Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (The Rock) in 2017, and trilogy/fourth film Jumanji: The Next Level in 2019 (I have yet to see that one). I have not seen anything about a 5th movie. I think "School of Rock" grows on you... I did not like it the first time I saw it... second time it was not bad... I have seen better, but it was not bad.

Can't you smelt clay to make hardened clay? And can't you get clay with pointed dripstone under a mud block? And didn't you have a farm for that last season? That would, theoretically mean that you could get a piglin bartering setup to generate gravel, which can then be auto crafted with some dirt to make coarse dirt, and then you can just put that in a machine that lets you hold right click while holding coarse dirt and a hoe, to then shove the farmland into a water bottle dispenser that then sends the mud into a dripstone field, which then explodes the clay into autocrafters that turn it back into clay blocks, and then autosmelts them into hardened clay. You could almost automate the entire process. You do have to supply the initial dirt, but while you're waiting for the bartering, you could be converting the coarse dirt into dirt. It may still be labor intensive... and it's a bit Rube Goldberg-y. But I think it'd be a fun setup to make a video about, and it would save the effort to grind terracotta.

Black market would be fun if the season's economy were as it was before this one. Since this economy is specifically set with the permits, although the concept of a black market would be amusing, I'm afraid the practical impact would be too negative and harmful. (Maybe super late in the season when everyone is swimming in diamonds and no one would be truly affected.) Trading sounds harmless enough at first, but the "rule" of the economy is not making a profit on something you are not permitted for. Establishing a partnership with Pearl with the end rods and purpur is a bit different because you each have the required permits. I'm not usually a big stickler on rules for Hermit activities because you are all friends and mature enough to know where to draw the line. When it comes to the permit system, I actually think the rules are rather important. That's my opinion for whatever it is or is not worth. Love your face. :)

More than a li'l black market talk going around... Truth is the way to do it right is if someone sets up an overpriced monopoly, establish a black market that undercuts them. If someone is selling at a reasonable price, maintaining stock, and not abusing their permit, play fair and do not compete with them. I do not see why it is such a big fuss. A couple hermits are talking about using the monopoly to price gouge... Most are just talking about setting up a shop like they would in any other season. We will soon see which hermits are which.

@@Nick-em3kq Well, besides being owned by one of the most morally corrupt corporations in the world, the UI is trash, there's no live chat replay so you can't pause or rewind, it doesn't allow for adblockers at all, it gives terrible compensation to the streamer compared to YT, background play for mobile is horrible... the only thing it has going for it is the raid feature and zero latency, which aren't worth the exchange imo.
