Always found it much easier to go from the top down into the tank & pull thru with a pair of long pliars! No need for the xtra wire. Always worked well for me!

Good job. I pull the lines from the carb compartment to the fuel tank using a pair of locking forceps or hemostats.

On the primer bulb , the IN side goes to the small brass tube on carburetor and the OUT side of primer bulb goes to tank return by the right side of carburetor as viewed from the top of saw ! The idea is the primer bulb when pushed in squirts gas into tank and when released pulls gas through the fuel filter via drawing it through the carb through the small brass tube on carburetor

Great stuff! Was curious if that fuel line would feed better if left in the freezer for 20 minutes or so?

I hope you don’t have to work on that Troybilt 4 cycle trimmer on the table. How do I know this? Because I replaced the starter pawls on mine twice because it never started right from new, Then when it started bogging I threw it across the yard, I bought an Echo trimmer 3 years ago and never have had any problems.

The chain should not be moving at idle if the chain brake is off and the throttle isn't depressed. You may have a bad clutch brake too!

That particular model saw has NO brake.

I just got one of these for free as well. A Poulan 220 Pro 38cc. Completely trashed, rusted bar and chain, no fuel lines or primer bubble. Looks like it was sitting under 3" of mud for a while.

I've tried for years to develop any affection at all for poulan saws, just because everyone dogs them. I just can't do it. They all suck. Poulan made me ditch anything from husqvarna and start buying stihl and echo products.
