He sure did. I'm not a fan of his music, but I did watch his whole set at Lolloapalooza this year because of this interview. I have tried to listen to his records before and did not really care for them- overproduced, autotuned and missed the mark of what I thought he was capable of. But live it all made sense. Seeing him live, he was flawed technically, but that is what made it good. I found I liked songs I hated before. He should make several live records. I think he would gain a larger audience. He definitely has a voice, and it does not need to be autotuned. "Don't let yourself get in the way of the things that people love about you." MGK. Take your own advice, MGK. You don't need the overproduction. Just be you.

I always heard of MGK, thought the typical thing many did at first. Then when I heard the change in genre, but still being uniquely himself. Never thought much else. Little things in his music appealed to me. 'Play This When I'm Gone' upset me, but made me smile. Almost made me feel at peace with walking away from everything. MGK's honesty made me smile, cry and feel something. We aren't so different. Almost the same age, made mistakes and such. Genuinely I now care so much for Colson. Admitting to the 'weird day', saying he's had to learn its 'okay to not be okay' and 'tired of smiling when not wanting to'. I hide so much behind my artwork, people see my character. In reality, i'm nervous, impulsive and suffer from severe depression, psychosis and PTSD. It takes a lot out of me, so I get angry. I hide my pain behind self-deprecating jokes and aggressive fun. I rarely show my vulnerability. I don't cry, i was raised to feel emotions, sadness, was weakness. I laugh about my issues, often a bad thing and try to band-aid it with a smile or a silly thing. I know i'm rambling but I really appreciate seeing someone else have similar things going on, i've learned something and feel so grateful for his wise words, yknow? Thank you for this interview. I feel less lonely in this wild and wooly Universe.

Him just walking into that interview and immidiatlly letting his guard down like that was amazing, and I love how both of them just where opening up to each other and in front of a live crowd and TV cameras, like it is the most normal thing to do, because it should be! This opening five minutes I just watched where the embodyment of "I am not doing to well right now, and that's fine"

I'm glad I clicked on this. I never really got to know Machine Gun Kelly and man he is real. Probably the most real conversation I've ever heard on tv on a talk show.
