He sure did. I'm not a fan of his music, but I did watch his whole set at Lolloapalooza this year because of this interview. I have tried to listen to his records before and did not really care for them- overproduced, autotuned and missed the mark of what I thought he was capable of. But live it all made sense. Seeing him live, he was flawed technically, but that is what made it good. I found I liked songs I hated before. He should make several live records. I think he would gain a larger audience. He definitely has a voice, and it does not need to be autotuned. "Don't let yourself get in the way of the things that people love about you." MGK. Take your own advice, MGK. You don't need the overproduction. Just be you.

If this exact interview was interviewed by anyone else other then Drew Barrymore I do not feel it would have come out as genuine and beautiful. Honestly, nothing is more refreshing than when people stop pretending and start admitting that they don't know what they're doing either. We all have trauma we're trying to overcome and work through and this time, space, and energy of just having people who will support you and listen and talk to you while you work through it means so much. So thank you for this. It means a lot. So much more than you and Machine Gun Kelly will probably ever know.

That's what really helped me when I was feeling so low, to know that I wasn't alone, that there were other people, (and it turned out to be millions) that were feeling exactly the same thing as me and also were hiding it to protect themselves, thinking they would be safe is they didn't speak their truth. I wonder if Colson knows about drew Barrymores past, I listened to her audio book long time ago and she is the furthest thing from a picture perfect celebrity. She has gone through hardships in her life and is so real and honest about her life. This was perfect match for an interview. She is so understanding with him because she has gone through this crazy world of fame. I hope they talked after the show and he got to hear more about her life story , I think he’d be surprised that he could relate a lot to her! She’s not just this Charlie’s angels , 50 first dates movie star! She’s so much more🤍 absolutely incredible interview. I was just watching Drew doing a different interview, I walked off to the kitchen and came back, and this interview started. The Lord works in mysterious ways. I needed to hear this interview. That's me in BOTH of them. I can honestly relate to both their testimonials and epiphanies shared. This brought me to tears. I felt like I was looking into his eyes, even while he looked down. 💯 Thank you both! 💛 🧡

This made me cry. Her heart felt PURE acceptance of him and he feels it so much he does what he wants even if it looks different, I can't. The way they connected and allowed themselves to connect was beautiful.

Oh my god this was free therapy. Drew Barrymore has always reminded me of my mom and this interview just solidifies it. The empathy, the vulnerability, the light. I love this.

I couldn't stand Drew up til right meow. She nailed this interview. Colson respects her, I can tell. Her authenticity, rawness and kookiness. And I didn't think I could love Colson any more... Omg I love when he's super deep and isn't just giving us what he thinks we want. This sets the bar. I love him soooooo much. May be low key obsessed. 🥰

Obviously this is a perfect example of a vulnerable, humble and enjoyable interview. But can most of us admit the greatest moment was Colson’s reaction when The Exorcist dolls music starts playing hahahah

I can't put into words how much I love and respect him , just like Drew everytime I hear or see something new about him I like him even more . His love for Casey is so pure and protective , im so glad he found the woman he could love in another way and be open and be himself , I couldn't be happier for him and Megan . Also Drew looks great , I keep looking at those boots and that skirt .

Watched the short version, now the extended version. This is the unique thing about this show, genuine curiosity, compassion, and empathy for people, and the actual almost no-filter, because i think Drew understands that people actually want to see actual real stuff. And MGK seemed kinda surprised by this too. Really a great show. I'm from England, UK, is this show on US tv too?

The honesty! I like the way he said he had an off day, because everyone has one. Love that he is honest instead of sheltering off or trying to hide it :)

I always heard of MGK, thought the typical thing many did at first. Then when I heard the change in genre, but still being uniquely himself. Never thought much else. Little things in his music appealed to me. 'Play This When I'm Gone' upset me, but made me smile. Almost made me feel at peace with walking away from everything. MGK's honesty made me smile, cry and feel something. We aren't so different. Almost the same age, made mistakes and such. Genuinely I now care so much for Colson. Admitting to the 'weird day', saying he's had to learn its 'okay to not be okay' and 'tired of smiling when not wanting to'. I hide so much behind my artwork, people see my character. In reality, i'm nervous, impulsive and suffer from severe depression, psychosis and PTSD. It takes a lot out of me, so I get angry. I hide my pain behind self-deprecating jokes and aggressive fun. I rarely show my vulnerability. I don't cry, i was raised to feel emotions, sadness, was weakness. I laugh about my issues, often a bad thing and try to band-aid it with a smile or a silly thing. I know i'm rambling but I really appreciate seeing someone else have similar things going on, i've learned something and feel so grateful for his wise words, yknow? Thank you for this interview. I feel less lonely in this wild and wooly Universe.

Him just walking into that interview and immidiatlly letting his guard down like that was amazing, and I love how both of them just where opening up to each other and in front of a live crowd and TV cameras, like it is the most normal thing to do, because it should be! This opening five minutes I just watched where the embodyment of "I am not doing to well right now, and that's fine"
