The most refreshing thing about Drew is that she genuinely LEARNS and appreciates the different points of views from her guests. So often, hosts try to be the "know all" and leave their personal experiences out of it. Drew so beautifully balances centering the speaker, engaging with them, and connecting with their experiences.

Yo get a library card. You can learn all the real self help stuff from just a few classic books that have stood the test of time. Like check out Marcus Aurelius’ Meditations and everything he has to say about how everything that affects you is just your perception and how you’ve chosen to react. You can change your perception and choose to not react and to not take everything others do as a personal attack. It’s really that simple. There’s not some secret stash of life hints, tips, and tricks that only the rich and famous have access to. You can access all the same information. You can educate yourself the same as people with advanced degrees in psychology. It’s just that a lot of people find it incredibly uncomfortable dealing with themselves and thus avoid it entirely. We’re all constantly lying to ourselves much more than we ever lie to other people. The hardest part is acknowledging all those lies and finally facing your real self.

I am attracted to that I think because I lost my dad at 19 before knowing myself or what I really wanted. It took years to find my husband and the men I dated before were like my mother. Toxic with addictions and vindictive, would lash out. I am blessed now to know my worth and found my way with my husband! I took changed the cycle in my family with having my two babies!! ❤

I love her unabashed freedom to emote. The fact that she is creating infinite ideas through her poetry and poetics shows the true essence of creativity. The ability to rage against the dying light and actively seek rights for the wrongs as a poet shows her intellectual prowess. I haven't read her poetry but I would imagine that it is in line with the original rule-breaker and line-crosser Rumi, "Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I’ll meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about. Ideas, language, even the phrase ‘each other’ doesn’t make any sense. As a fan of Borges, "The Aleph"- pure bliss is finding the infinite in the basement of our dwelling=]

I love this show. Thank you Drew for giving us interviews like this one with Megan! I ❤ this beautiful dog, you can tell the conversation is genuine by the ways he or she looks between Drew and Megan.
