Worth noting that draw_rectangle has been improved. It's not nearly as slow as it used to be (thought it still will have scaling issues in the gui event. It will always be a single pixel thick for an outlined rectangle)

I love this format. It's a great way to collect all sorts of hard to search for learnings. Feels like an apprenticeship being able to just sit and watch someone work who has learned these lessons through lots of trial and error. Much appreciated pope.

Saying Gooey is always superior to saying G-U-I. Hearing that game making is organic and messy like a painting helps a lot. Thank you for these videos and showing how things, even for a veteran, can go a little off course and it's ok. 🙏

Russell, in a recent roadmap video, said Gooey and I felt so vindicated 😂

@@PixelatedPope Wonder were the split between gooey and GUI comes from. When I was learning Comptia, many moons ago, I only heard gooey being used.

I've only ever heard it and spoken it gooey.

I like videos like this. Seeing how someone works through problems and seeing their thought process can be very useful. Now, the real question is, do you wear the miter 24/7?

It never comes off. Never.

Also, you are pronouncing GUI correctly, because that is the way I pronounce it ;)
