I love that younger girls have someone like you talking super openly about everything! You truly are an amazing woman Soph. The only pointer is that I honestly feel that it is normal to have crushes even if you are in a relationship especially if it’s a longer one - nothing to be afraid of, just obviously don’t act on it and be open about it. If the feelings are very real and not leaving you alone, then ofc end the current relationship and move on.

10:14 It depends if I’m honest. I’ve been dating my boyfriend for 3 years now and I can’t lie and say I haven’t found another boy attractive or fantasise about another boy. Because that’s only natural but it doesn’t mean I’m cheating in anyway or planning to cheat. It’s natural and everyone gets it. I think you need to think carefully on whether you’re actually have developed feelings or is it a little crush that will fly over. But obviously if your more in love with the 2nd and want them and just feel disconnected to your boyfriend maybe it time to call quits.

In relation to the developing feelings for another person while in a relationship question...it’s worth trying to work out the difference for yourself between love and comfort. I’ve been with my boyfriend for 5 years, and I’m 23. A couple of years ago I started questioning if being with him was what I really wanted. I stuck it out, and I didn’t develop feelings for anyone else, and I still couldn’t imagine my life without him, and I still questioned whether I was just comfortable or actually in love with him. After thinking about it, I definitely cannot imagine my life without him. I can’t wait until we have our own house and our own little family and there is absolutely no one else that I could ever imagine having this future with. My longest relationship before him was only 4 months, and I think we were just reaching a point where we were so comfortable with each other’s company we never done anything out and about, together or alone. I found a new hobby, and that helped so much. He then found a new hobby and I can’t express how much better everything feels now.

Regarding bra sizes: it is SUPER easy to measure yourself at home and I encourage everyone to learn to do it rather than relying on commercial bra fitters. Though there are good ones, they can be hard to find and so many of them use the old-fashioned "add four inches" measuring technique which - along with many of them measuring you OVER your bra/clothes, rather than over your bare skin - results in so many people wearing the incorrectly sized bra, which can lead to a lack of proper support, discomfort, chafing, poor posture, and even back problems. Fun fact: most people wear a bra size that is too large in the band and too small in the cup! The reason the "add four inches" technique is inaccurate is because it was formulated back when bra brands did not stretch. The extra inches were added to give the wearer room to breathe. However, now that bra bands are elasticated, this technique should no longer be used (but sadly still is in a lot of places). Stay far away from anywhere that uses it. This elastic also means that when you try on a bra, you should try it on the loosest hook. The tighter hooks are meant to be saved for when the elastic becomes stretched out with use. In order to determine your bra size, all you need is a tape measure and a mirror. Making sure the tape measure is completely horizontal (the mirror is useful for this), measure just under your bust, where your bra band would sit. The result, in inches (rounded to the nearest even number) is your band size. Do the same measurement again, this time across the fullest part of your breasts. The difference, in inches, between this measurement and the previous, is your cup size. Each additional inch goes up a cup size. So: Half to 1 inch difference: A cup 2 inches: B cup 3 inches: C cup 4 inches: D cup 5 inches: E/DD cup And so on. It's that simple! Common signs your bra does not fit well: -A gap between the cup and your breast (this could be a sign the cup is too large, or it could be due to the style of the cup. Take the shape of your breasts into account. If they are not very full on top, for instance, some styles with deep cups may always form a gap) -The back of your bra band hitches up (this is a sign your band size is too large/not tight enough. It should sit horizontally) -"Quad boob", when your cup cuts into your breast so that your cleavage spills over the top (this is a sign the cup size is too small) -The front of the band - the part between the cups - does not sit flat against your chest (this is a sign the cup size is too small) -You can easily pull the band away from your body by more than an inch (this means the band is too large or the elastic is stretched out) When trying bras on, try on multiple styles from multiple brands to figure out what works best for you. Sizes vary hugely between brands, so don't be discouraged if something doesn't work. Your size can also fluctuate throughout the month due to hormone changes. If you have trouble finding places that carry your size, I have heard people have luck looking online at places like Bravissimo. Good luck to anyone reading this! And please spread the word! Boobs deserve to be treated better!

I've heard so many people complain about the pill but honestly it is the best thing I have ever done, my periods used to be bad aswell to the point where I was balling my eyes out like a baby and my doctor refused to put me on the pill at first until the pain got to the point where I threw up the painkillers I had taken to take away the pain. Now since that day I have been taking the pill and it hasn't cured the pain (unfortunately it isn't a miracle worker) but the pain is so much more barrable and it actually put it on track as before it would love to make an unannounced appearance so for me the pill has helped me so much and is the best decision I have ever made.

Soph hun, all the symptoms you just mentioned is what I've been dealing with for the past 23 years. I have Endometriosis.... Just have the Laparoscopy about a year before you want to have a baby Xx
@user-sr2pd1of8x5 жыл бұрын
GinaM OfPeekaboo that doesn’t always work, if it goes undiagnosed it can progress to the point where your pelvis “freezes” from the adhesions, I’m stage 2 and had my most recent lap 3 months ago so I can hopefully still have my fertility in a few years when I’m ready. Unfortunately my endo keeps coming back and I have to repeat my laps every time my flare ups get closer together (4 in a month)

Hi I just have a question if you don’t mind answering, I get nervous that I might have endometriosis as I always get like a pulling painful pain in my left side near my lower abdomen quite often and it’s not just when I’m on my period or near my period and when having sexual intercourse it is really painful for me, do these sound like symptoms of endometriosis or not just because I’m quite worried
@fernandamorales2205 жыл бұрын

@ginamoriginal5 жыл бұрын
Sadly Endometriosis pretty much always grows back :( After a laparoscopy, where they remove what they can visibly see, your Dr tries to manage it with contraceptives/hormones as they slow the progression of growth. So even though Soph isn't yet diagnosed, she is already on management (the pill). But nothing at this point in time stops it returning, diagnosis or not. Soph said she is scared to receive the diagnosis, so isn't pursuing it at the moment. It's really important to try and have a laparoscopy before trying to conceive if you have the condition, to try and prevent miscarriage. So that's why I said have a laparoscopy before trying for a baby xx
@ginamoriginal5 жыл бұрын
@@jessjohnston5906 It's possible huni, as the symptoms you mentioned happen with Endo. But I'm not a Dr, so my best advice to you, is to visit your GP lovely and express your concerns. As other conditions manifest like this too. Xx

Menstrual cup TIPS!!! I find the 7 fold the easiest fold to use! It's the easiest one for me to make sure the cup fully opens. And when you want to remove it, make sure to grab the base (not just the nub) and use your pelvic muscles to help reach it.

19:13 I've tried so much with a menstrual cup and since idk 2-3 moths ago i finally got it (well, i still use pads for extra safety during the night because i have a heavy period). I use the punch down method and i cut the stem of mine, i heard a lot of people doing it and i think that's the best because you can remove it easily without the stem, you just have to push the side wall of the cup to break the suction then it comes out easily. When you insert it you should squat (i find that the best and easiest way), then push the cup with like the punched down side towards your pubic bone (so up), hold it with the thumb and another finger, and when it got in but you can still hold it (so not too too far in, just completely past the widest part of the cup) you have to kinda contract your muscles like squish and push it about 2 times then it pops open and it's done. There'll be a little sound like air escaping and you shouldn't be able to feel it inside. Then try pulling it a little and if it feels secure it's all done, just push it up so it feels comfortable/ not sticking outside. Another thing, idk if that does help or not but i punch down a side with a hole. I hope this helps, however i think a menstrual cup will always be messy and a bit tricky to use. To me it's already getting easier but still messy and i can't imagine changing it in a public toilet yet.

I use a menstrual cup for almost a year now and I definetly recommend it! The first tries are really hard and you have to learn it. It will get easier every month and its so worth it!!! It’s so much more cheaper than to buy new pads or tampons every week and it feels much cleaner. Its also not bad for your “area down there” (tampons are) I really recommend it!!!

I once had a period that was so painful and with such monstrous clots that I went to A&E thinking I was having a miscarriage. Finally getting the hysterectomy I so desperately needed aged 34 was a real life-saver. Soph, please get the check for endometriosis: you can go home the same day and there is no recovery time (I was back at university the next day).

Menstrual cups take a couple of periods to get used to, looking up ways to fold it and trying those can help a lot, and then after a couple of cycles it should feel more comfortable and you’ll get the hang of it, also it helps with my cramps, i have super painful periods and lots of cramps so it helps relieve some of that pain.

Definitely try the menstrual cup again, they're a complete game changer when it comes to periods! The first time I used it I got it stuck and it scared me too. I did a load of research of folds and taking it out etc and now I'm a pro. I have a completely plastic free period and I'm so proud! It's a steep learning curve but great when you've mastered it.

I'm 24 and still sometimes have crazy period pain. Couple of months ago I got insane cramps, nausea, I felt like I would faint and the scariest part my legs and arms tingled. I thought I was going to die, it was so scary and also ended up throwing up right when the ambulance came. My doctor later told me that it was probably my body's reaction to the immense pain I was feeling. Period pain is truly a serious thing.

Are Always and Tampax sister companies? I love to support the brands that sponsor you but I don't like pads ❤️
@jaydenharris73835 жыл бұрын
Hegot xposed this question intrigued me, so I googled it. They appear to be sister companies, they are both owned by Protector & Gambles (P&G) however I’m unsure if any of Tampax’s revenue will go towards Always... and vice versa. But I’m with you, I much prefer tampons to pads!

I just don't like the pads they always leak and don't really stick properly so I have to change them way too often so I don't use them anymore

I have a menstrual cup and I will never be going back to pads or tampons hated the feel of tampon and I could never get them out, and I hated the feeling of sitting in my own blood so I looked into the intimidate Lilly cup 1, I love it and its so eco friendly, once you get the hang of it, its super easy to use and I would highly recommend them to anyone who doesn't want to use pads or tampons.

When I was younger I had really bad cramps during period, I remember I used to stay at home rather than go to school cause I was feeling really bad, than I started to use pill and everything changed, I still have cramps but I feel a lot better now, and also my acne reduced a lot. Anyways I love you soph you're so spontaneous and friendly, you're like a sister from another country haha I hug you from Italy 🇮🇹❤️

Georgina Carter oh I’d highly suggest anyone who thinks they may have it go and get tested . It will be so much better in the long run. (I’m 42, started my periods when I was 9 and it took me until two years ago to get someone to believe me and have tests done which all confirmed it)

don't give up on the cup girl, i was so uncomfortable the first 3 times i tried but you just have to do it over and over again, you'll get it right eventually. and it is absolutely worth it once you do, it's like you're not even on your period at all.

Tip for the menstrual cup Soph! I use one every time I'm on a period and as a long term tampon user, I am now 100% converted to the cup!! If you can, change it in the shower. Fold it in half, then fold it again. Try and relax when you're putting it in! Once it's in, give it a few minutes, and you'll feel a kind of bubble? When it feels like the bubble has disappeared - you're good to go! Honestly, sounds complicated, but after a few wears, you'll get more comfortable and before you know it you'll be converted! So many reasons they are better! I know you're into recycling and saving the planet - save it one tampon/pad at a time and give your cup another try! Theres no risk of forgetting it's there or getting toxic shock syndrome etc 😁 and it's a one time purchase, money saver 😁 Try it again and do a review video on it! You're a babe soph ❤

I have endometriosis and it definitely sounds like you do also. When I found out, I was at school and started getting excruciating pains. So bad I was squatting in the halls, crying. My friends found me in the restroom on the floor, holding my stomach, balling my eyes out. They had to walk me to the nurses and I was later diagnosed with endometriosis. Birth control also helped my period sooo much. I never bleed but I do get “normal” cramps. Some days more than others.

I have endo. I was terrified to get the surgery. it took me 2 years for my OB/GYN to convinced me I was in so much pain that I was hospitalized 31 times over two years. it really isn't as bad as you may think. the most painful bit after the surgery is probably going to be in your shoulders, neck and upper back from when they pump the CO2 into your abdomen so they can use the scope to look around. since my first surgery, I've had 8 surgeries to get it all taken off ( definitely has helped my pain! only need to take a paracetamol for the pain! best of luck! love your videos xx

Menstrual cups FTW!! No leaking, you don't feel it, you'll have ONE for 30 years so waaay less waste, no chemicals near your lady parts, doesn't feel like you're sitting on a wet diper, you'll be way more in touch with your body, don't actually have to empy it as many times as changing pads, much greater feeling of freedom, I could go on and on. There's just so many benefits compared to pads. Still a great video Soph
