My locs make me feel very feminine and beautiful. It’s literally just society that’s conditioned us to think the most feminine thing is straight hair that blows in the wind lol. I also think the longer your hair gets the more feminine you’ll start to feel, well I hope lol. Your crown is very feminine queen.

I feel that locs are VERY feminine. It's actually one of the reasons I decided to loc my hair. I do get a few moments where I do feel a bit masculine but that's usually because I have to exude more masculine energy to get my life in order

I think I feel you on the feminine thing… I’ve found myself wanting to wear my hair over to one side, or wear more makeup + jewelry. It’s definitely something to explore why don’t feel “feminine” w/o those things.

I’m not loced (I am *considering* locs) but I resonated a lot with what you said, I have those days with my loose hair and I think those days I choose a slick back style or a wig 😞 I think accessories help me! Like tying a cute scarf around my hair or adding clips, hats when I can. 💕

I appreciate the stretching sounds whenever you're wrangling the locs into a ponytail lol. I understand what you mean about feeling less feminine. It's because we're conditioned to think that femininity looks sleek and glossy all over, which is the opposite of our locs lol. That's why the shaggier mine look the more I think "Umm...what happened to all my girliness?"

Back in the day I use to wear my mom’s suits to High School like a Zuit Suit with a chain wallet or since I was into grunge rock music I use to wear my bf baggy Jnco jeans and flannel shirts. (I’m trying to get a pair of Jnco jeans now..I miss that style) I don’t do high shoes much(too clumsy) , just flats or sneakers. I dress up in jeans N t shirt or skirt/dress when I feel like it. I don’t look at it as a masculine energy..I just go with how I’m feeling/close by and my husband loves me just the same. He met me with flame designs on my sneakers and rapping to G-Unit. So he knew what he was getting Lol just do what feels good with your vibes!!! Either way I love your style dress up or dress down!

I can relate to your feminity thoughts...As a woman 16 years loc'd, there are phases of your physical appearance with locs that don't align. The health of my hair is primary and including breaks with no retwist and wearing headwraps, some days u just don't feel pretty. We associate femininity with being put together and let's face it when we don't look good, we don't feel good..at times. Just some thoughts...

Personally I feel less feminine when my hair is wild and I’m in between retwists but I just try to add accessories in my hair for whatever style I do, like little butterfly clips or just random cute stuff from the beauty supply store… maybe throw some hair wax in for a couple days if I get really bored.

I believe femininity is in the female …..like I use to feel like people probably looked at me like I was boyish or unattractive so I pierced my ears a lot 😂 but then I got the amber rose cut and you couldn’t tell me anything funny I felt super female with no hair ! You look amazing always though

I had the same feeling when I started my locs but 8months in with the length I started to feel better..it could be that or the fact my kids dad was buying me boy like clothes and I had to tell him I have locs and you come in here with baggy clothes just kill me now 😂😂😂🤣
