TIME SAVING WASHING TIP WHICH I REALLY HOPE WOULD HELP YOU: I used to spend SO much time sorting clothes. Now we have a wash load sized hamper in each of the kids rooms and a two load sized hamper in our bedroom. When a hamper is full its owner takes it to our laundry area ready for me to wash (when they are a little older the kids will do their own) and apart from whites, it all goes in a wash for that person. It has made such a difference to the amount of time I spend on this task and we don’t run out of clothes as there’s only ever a wash load per person ‘in the wash’. 🎉

This is an old video but Einstein looked so happy in your daughters arms and with his hair cut!! Great family! Yesterday I listened to videos while I baked a cake. Cleaned up and organized my summer closet,and whole bedroom. So much nicer now! I did all the laundry, washed all my pretty tops on delicate and hung them up..about ten. Tidied the downstairs. This morning i will make the bed and already tidied again. That is all. Have to get my weekly Allergy shot and go to dinner with my hubs at Cracker Barrel.. Love you Shannon. I am 68. Spinach is smoothies is a fantastic way to get your greens in without tasting it. I love making a frozen banana or two, mango, spinach, coconut water smoothie with a dash of honey for immune health. I just found your channel and it’s so refreshing to hear someone talk about the benefits of fruit instead of all of the fruit fear. Also that lady that groomed your foster dog is amazing!

Shannon, I am like you with getting things done in the morning . I was having laundry backup issues so I changed the way I did it. Now I start my load to wash before I go to bed and then I put it in the dryer when I get up. This way I am still motivated when it is done to fold and put it away. This has been a total game changer as now I don't have piles of clean clothes that I just don't have the energy to handle later in the day.

Productive day for me 🙋 today was a cleaning/chores day for me. Today is also day 1 out of 10 of stay-cation. I was feeling burnt out and needed to take some time off. I have a hard time resting though because if I'm not productive I feel lazy. It's very hard for me to get out of that mentality especially right now when I need it most.

garlic and ginger - we grind it in the food processor and then freeze in cubes in silicon ice trays. Of course roasting whole garlic bulbs makes lovely mellow garlic.

@@LeafLikeOnATree store greens in your salad spinner in fridge - wash, spin, dump out water in spinner, cover and put in fridge. Greens will last 7 to 10 days, leafy greens, green onions, parsley, celery, carrots, green beans. Cilantro is more fragile so it doesn't last as long. Put parsley in your smoothy - very healthy, also kale.

With laundry, i have decided not to do a load a day because then it feels like I'm doing laundry ALL THE TIME. I just commit to four loads a week and that has to do. I do two loads of laundry on Monday and two on Thursday/Friday so that I'm not doing it everyday and its still getting done

I've learned that I have to prioritize my daily routines plus the Weekly Home Blessing Hour over zone cleaning. Because the daily stuff will continue to build up more and more and more and get out of control. But the detailed/zone cleaning pretty much stays the same. Dusting something with a little bit of dust vs a lot of dust really isn't that different. But doing one load of laundry vs 6 loads of laundry is lol. So for zone cleaning, I dedicate 15 minutes a day to declutter in that zone and 15 minutes a day to doing one detailed cleaning task. And if I don't have the energy to do something, the decluttering/zone cleaning are what's going. My daily routines are what keep me from feeling like I'm drowning.

Quick tip! You can either freeze the garlic as is, or even better, take the whole thing and mince it in the food processor and freeze them in tbsp clumps, then throw them all in a baggie and you can pull out a garlic clump every time you want fresh garlic!

Zucchini! I've never thought about that in my smoothie. I'm going to try that. I've done lettuce and celery - used sparingly you can't taste them. Carrots are great and so is canned pumpkin and frozen kale and spinach. Enjoy the Vitamix, the best smoothies ever!

I don't do well with being interrupted either. My afternoons especially early afternoons or my energy time. It's when the mental and the physical energy comes together, most of the time. My husband's energy is all in the morning and maybe some in the early afternoon. We're like the sun and the moon we pass each other twice a day. He wants to do everything at the crack of dawn and it takes me at least a few hours to get moving and motivated.

I told him that it's against our neighborhood covenants to use power tools before 8 a.m., I personally think it should be 10, because he was outside working at 7:30 on Saturday morning. It no longer shames me to be in bed when he's working. lol
