Yes! This set is very Sophisticated looking. I also like the very minimal approach to the new fundamental series. Elegant and chic. It’s very Japanese in aesthetic where in one appreciates it’s natural beauty.

I prefer the original fundamental set - not only did the brushes work like a dream, but the brush handles handled like a dream and looked incredibly luxe and aesthetically pleasing. While these new brushes may be as functional as the original version, they are not as aesthetically pleasing and luxe feeling

I totally understand your pov, I too prefer the chubby handles. They were iconic. There’s a subdued elegance with the current handles. It’s very Japanese in a sense that they are showcasing the natural beauty of the material used. Maybe in time we will get used to the new look of the brushes. 😉🤗

I also like the original version due to its materials and unique craftsmanship, there is something about their prime materials and hairs used on the original version. Those were Sonia's first set of brushes, and it makes them special as she put lots of creativity and efforts on them. Still, I purchased some of the new Fundamental brushes (Fan L and classic cheek) and created my personal set along with the Fundamental eye set, just released few months ago, I really love them all and look great on my vanity.
