This game was underrated as hell. Had a lot of gems and references. (pretty lengthy, bear with me) Capcom Dan got new moves, buffs and his Raging demon did mad damage and had no adverse affects on him. One of the (possibly only) few fighters where Chun- Li had BOTH Hoyokusen AND Hazan TenShou Kyaku Added in Dhalsim's super from the Ex series and gave him couple of new supers. Upgraded Balrog's standing pose, and gave him a new move Upgraded Vega's Red Impact Payed homage to SFA3 by adding in Bison's Final Psycho Crusher Payed Homage to CVS and EX series by using their version on Knee Press Nightmare Payed homage to the SF2 Animated movie by debuting Violent Ken Payed Homage to Ken's SF EX3 super, Kazuuryuu Reppa. Added in a Warlord character Tessa Added in a DarkStalker character that WASN'T Morrigan. (Thank God!) Added in Zero from the MMZ series Added Hugo over Zangief and made his parry cancel out projectiles (supers included) SNK One of the first games that made Iori's Showy Jackals follow-up to Yoatome VERY easy to perform. (Thanks SNK!) Made Geese a Beast (but broken) Made Terry a beast and the first game to added both High angle Geyser AND Buster Wolf. Gave Terry a Deadly Rave type move Brought back Mr karate Made Shin Mr Karate and made him a beast Added Make Kim a beast Added in Earthquake and Gunjuro Added in Shiki (holy crap) Added in Goenitz (got a chance to see/play him because I haven't play KOF96.) The game had it own nice touch that really goes unappreciated. Lastly I say Blockade Space is hands down my favorite bgm of the game. Factory Abandoned is a close second and Guardian Dogs Temple is a close third.

All SNK fans are very disappointed that this game does not have the height of CVS2. SVC is not a bad game, it has a good roster, it is graphically true to SNK, and even the playability of the Capcom characters has been very well adapted to the SNK style (art style looks great for me). However, the presentation of the game (select char screen) is very poor, the stages have no charm and the music is very muted. Besides that, it practically does not have any alternative game mode. Edit: Can't even choose Extra / Advance modes, or different "Grooves" systems; can't choose single player, tag system, or group by turns... pls... from KOF series, really?. To top it all, the SNK characters do not run, but they do dash, thus removing something characteristic of the SNK style. It is a real shame. I wish Max would play games like KOF '98, '96 or 2002 UM to know more about what SNK was capable of. Terry Bogard LEGACY?!?!?

Hey Max, Thanks for playing SVC Chaos. That game was a gem during the dark days of SNK and pretty much all 2-D fighters. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Brought back many memories of me putting countless hours into this game. Just couple of things you should know. 1. To do the Exceed, you have to be in red health and your character name have to be flashing, and as you stated earlier, it can be only used once a match. 2. To get the Secret Fight/True Ending, you have to get all the way to Shin Akuma or Shin Mr. Karate by not losing a round. BUT, you can lose a match though and continues ARE allowed. (I know it sounds weird. lol) To go to Hell and fight Fire Brand (Red Arremer) you simply have to win just 1 round at any stages 1-7 by chip damage To go to Heaven and fight Goddess Athena just simply get to the end without losing a round F.Y.I. The not-lose-a-round requirement is only required for stages 1-7 You CAN lose a round at Shin Akuma and Shin Mr Karate and still get the secret fight/True ending. F.Y.I. 2. The secret fights have the same stipulations as the Secrets fights in SF4. One and Done. If you win? You'll get the true ending. If you lose? You'll get turn into a animal/demon, the game is over and you'll get the same text ending that you got in this video . Hope that helps.. P.S. All of this sounds like a Boss Rage video in the making. LOL!

Aww man, yea SvC MOTM was amazing for a handheld game, i was addicted to that game for a looong time. Still love it till this day. And to Joshua: As far as the SNK thing it wasn't that they saw how successful Capcom was with their version of CvS and tried to copy it, it was that they had signed an agreement where they would both release two games a piece under the Capcom/SNK crossover deal. SNK released SvC MOTM, then Capcom released CvS 1 and 2, then SNK released the last game of the deal: SvC Chaos, but by that time they were recovering from bankruptcy and were under the name "Playmore" and they were still very much struggling as a company.

SNK was supposed to release this on the PS2 but they didn't in the US. I've been waiting for SVC Chaos since then. Hopefully SNK and Capcom can work out a collection that has: - Capcom vs. SNK Pro - Capcom vs. SNK 2 - SVC Chaos ...on 1 disc, GGPO, HD graphics, etc.

@@NewGabeOrder I'm aware. But back in 2004 (I think it was) they announced SVC Chaos for the US PS2 and then suddenly canceled it for the PS2 and it got released on the Xbox. I think it was due to SCEA (Sony Computer Entertainment America) and their policy on 2D games supposedly. I heard back then they required at least 2 games bundled or something to get a release in the US. But SCEA is no longer a company and they changed to something else, and on top of that, 2D fighting games are more and more popular these days so I think on the PS4 it would be nice if Capcom and SNK worked together to bring us (on disc) a collection consisting of: - Capcom vs. SNK Pro - Capcom vs. SNK 2 - SVC Chaos: SNK Vs. Capcom It'd be nice if it had trophies, GGPO online for each of the games, graphics filters, arcade perfect gameplay, etc.

The Violent Ken of ultra sf2 follows the animated movie story line. Violent Ken in SVC is corrupted by the Orochi, same as Iori. Capcom did copy him from SNK, just changed the story.

A street fighter game and a CROSSOVER game have different concepts of Violent Ken and Shin Akuma: VIOLENT KEN, like you pointed out: In ULTRA STREET FIGHTER 2, Violent Ken was Ken UNDER THE CONTROL OF BISON. In SVC CHAOS SNK VS CAPCOM, Violent Ken was Ken who OBTAINED THE OROCHI POWER(HOW DID KEN GET THE OROCHI POWER??) SHIN AKUMA has different concepts as well: In STREET FIGHTER games like ULTRA STREET FIGHTER 2, STREET FIGHTER ALPHA 2 & 3, & STREET FIGHTER 4, Shin Akuma was just Akuma USING HIS FULL STRENGTH. In CAPCOM VS SNK 2 however, Shin Akuma was Akuma how received Orochi power from Rugal to combine with Akuma's Satsui No Hado power.(The CVS2 Shin Akuma should have been called ULTIMATE AKUMA in my opinion).

This game had an amazing roster and design (Demitri and Firebrand are some good examples, I LOVE THEM), but it looked outdated even at the release due the obsolete hardware; Capcom was already making games for the NAOMI/Dreamcast 128 bit board since 2000 and this came out on 2003 on 32 bit Neo Geo. I wish SNK would remake it in HD with modern hardware.

This game is fun once you pick it up. Credit to SNK for not screwing Capcom's characters like Capcom screwed SNK's in CVS, dividing and botching many of their moves. And Demitri in this game looks badass, way better than his original sprite. Zero was also fun to play, and SFIV's Vega design looks surprisingly similar to the one in this game (Vega is also a boss killer here). SNK vs Capcom for the Neo Geo pocket color (the originator of the crossover) was a funny little game too, you should try it some time.

I remember playing this ken version with an air fireball. Maybe you are playing the same version, but with air fireball taken away. And he does have a shinryuken in the air i believe. But it goes straight horizontal. You can do it after the ground vertical shinryuken.

Man SVC: Chaos could have acualy bean an amazing game only if its stages and music didn't suck. And if it had better balance. Imagine Capcom classic themes remixed on the Neo Geo sound chip.

djukor the stages and music are actually the best part of the game. They went for a minimal style and the reason is that the game takes place in purgatory. The characters and stiffness of the gameplay are the actual sinners
