Nice finds and Mercury is amazing how it attracts gold, sucks that it’s bad for the environment once you get enough of the Mercury covered gold it’s worth recovering the gold 👍

the area where you thought someone has been could also be from higher water levels running down from rain or snow melt. I see this all the time in flood area in the my area
