Went to the store today Friday April 21, great store, great used vinyl prices, came home with two used and one new albums. Loved the Funko selection. Wanted to say hello to the owner but he was busy helping others…this store is two hours from where I live but when in the Winchester area I will certainly return.

Awesome day-in-the-life glimpse of your store. I laughed out loud when you started positioning the plushies face-out. I visited that downtown Winchester strip years ago. There use to be a place with records further down, and there was a bookshop, but all their records were of the new modern variety. Hope to get back one of these days and visit your store.

Hello fellow Winchesterian! I had no idea singles came on 12", but after you mentioned "DJ," it suddenly makes so much sense. Really cool store you have there. I'm afraid to go in there or I might never see my money again. 😅💸👍

I randomly came across this video and got so nostalgic... though not because of the records and retro video games but because I used to go to Shenandoah University and lived at the corner of Cork and Cameron, right next to First Presbyterian Church! Probably like 20 steps to your store. Anyways you got a really cool thing going on there, I wish we had something like this store back in the 2000s haha

I assume a lot of the records on the Capitol label that you get in from locals were pressed at their Winchester plant! Just like how I live in NJ and see lots of albums pressed at Columbia's Pitman, NJ plant or at the independent Presswell plant that was in Ancora, NJ.

Yes!!! A lot of the Beatles Capitol presses were pressed here which is super neat. We even have some customers that used to work at that plant. Thanks for watching!

Interesting that you pulled out a whole bunch of dollar funk records but passed on the $100 "Food for thought" by the JB's.

@@BacktotheMedia Good for you! I collect mainly soul/funk/disco and if you find albums as good as those there has to be some good stuff in the 12" boxes too.

@@peterokmod Thanks! We rarely see soul/funk collections in our demographic in Virginia. So it is a genre I'm not as sharp on. Appreciate the tip. I've done this for a long time but literally learn something new every day in the world of records. That keeps it fun tho! Thanks for watching ✌

200 $ for these records is a joke, this is why I always shook my head when I see people bring their stuff to record shops. Bad mistake. But great deal for you. Haven´t you pick the JB´s doin it to death or was it the Pass the Peas ? have only see one + The Buster Williams Crystal Reflections LP ?

What would you have paid for the only 2 boxes of okay sellable records? Remember now... we're a business with 5 employees, rent, insurance, and need to turn a worthwhile profit. Aside from a few rares that I showed, there is a ton of $1-4 lps here. Which take time and effort to sell.
@PatJenningsGloves
@PatJenningsGloves Жыл бұрын
I think the flip side is people taking their records in and having way too high expectations of what their records will get them. These record shops are businesses after all and will surely need to turn a profit to keep viable. Other than that put em on Discogs and hope a wealthy record collector is on the look out lol.😀
