That is amazing, it really is such a special place!
Just found your channel!!! Love it….I’ll be binge-watching for sometime now😛 On one of your videos, you mentioned a cold area in your basement. Can you show that to us? We are getting ready to build a home this year and will have a full basement and would be interested in knowing how you kept an area that was cold, compared to the rest of the basement. Thank you. Currently we live in Fenwick Island, Delaware…will be building near our kids and grandkids. We’re in our early 70’s😬

Would be cool if you and Sam did a collab with Randy Newberg or Meateater for hunting. Easy way to explode in fan base or collab with Doug and Stacy. We appreciate your down to earth style also

This was so interesting! I just found your channel so it was nice to learn more about you. I also hate flying and my husband got his private pilot's license (pre-kids, about 30 years ago now but didn't keep up with it). I flew with him once. It was a beautiful day in October, the foliage was at peak color. I white knuckled it the whole time! 🤣

It is so great to have you here! That is so funny I am so happy I’m not alone with the lack of love for flying! Good for you for going up and experiencing it anyways! 😊

Oh btw, pigs are great cleaner-uppers at harvest time or after hunts. Our pigs ate all the rooster heads, feet, and innards (that weren't reserved for pate) and the same from a buck our neighbor hunted off our land last night! Gobbled it all right up!

Seriously? That is great news I had absolutely no idea!

How cool!! Thanks for answering my question about flying! And yes, ducks stink lol. We had some and never again, hah! You guys have amazing lives! (Did you harvest the meat from your SA trip, and if so, how did it taste?) Good for you! Morgan, my husband works in Ag too, with those green tractors! And we do the night before Christmas too!! So cool! Btw, heritage pigs are fun and easy! If you need any tips or help, Don't hesitate to reach out. We've done pigs for 10 years!

Thank you so much! Yes ducks are a total pain compared to how easy chickens are! We did harvest our meat while we were there the wildebeest was shockingly the best it was absolutely delicious! You aren’t allowed to bring the meat back so it was donated to the local staff, trackers and town which is awesome that it gets out to good use! Oh my goodness, I will for sure be reaching out about the pigs thank you so much for the offer! 😊

What did you do with the 6 animals that you shot in the hunt in South Africa?
@TheWyomingHomestead2 жыл бұрын
Great question! While we were there we ate the animals for literally ever meal. Due to a recent change laws you are no longer able to bring the meat back to the US. Therefore, we had 2 local guys with us for the whole trip so they took the meat and brought it back to their families and villages to eat. Nothing was wasted that’s for sure 😊

@@TheWyomingHomestead that’s great! I wondered if it could be shipped home safely…I guess just not legally!
@bellabailey11832 жыл бұрын
Oh gosh.. did you hunt in South Africa just for the kill? They are such beautiful animals. Did you eat the meat, donate it? Your answer will depend if I continue to follow. I understand hunting for food.. but just for sport?
@TheWyomingHomestead2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely not! We ate the meat while we were there but due to recent law changes (from the US side) it is actually illegal to bring the meat back to the US. Therefore we had 2 local men help join us on the adventure and they actually took all of the meat the remained back to their families and villages to feed everyone after we were gone. You will notice on our channel I really preach using the meat we have responsibly and not wasting food 😊
