You can substitute for apples; 2 cups shredded carrots & 2 Tbsp. grated orange rind. or 2 cups shredded zucchini squash or 2 cups shredded sweet potatoes. HARVEST LOAVES - APPLE RAISIN LOAVES Mom's Favorite Recipes Ingredients: 3 eggs 1 1/2 cup vegetable oil 2 cups chopped unpeeled apples 1 1/2 cup sugar, 1 tsp.Vanilla Ingredients: 3 1/3 cup flour 2 tsp. baking soda, 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. ground cloves, 1 tsp. cinnamon, 2/3 cup chopped nuts, 2/3 cup raisins Recipe instructions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 2 loaf pans 9 x 5 x 3 inchs. Beat eggs, oil, apples, sugar and vanilla; on low speed. Add everything else. Pour into loaf pans. Bake 55 to 60 minutes. Refrigerate left over bread. Can substitute for apples; 2 cups shredded carrots & 2 Tbsp. grated orange rind. or 2 cups shredded zucchini squash or 2 cups shredded sweet potatoes.
