Let's Install KDE Plasma on Fedora 38 with Gnome 44!

If you are running Fedora 38 Workstation running Gnome 44 and you decide you want to install the KDE Plasma Desktop, here's how you do it!
*How to install KDE Plasma on Fedora 38:
1) Make sure your system is up to date.
2) sudo dnf -y group install "KDE Plasma Workspaces"
3) sudo reboot
4) When you arrive on the login screen, choose Plasma as your desktop.

You can also write kde-plasma-workspaces for the group. That did actually think about using terminal when making groups. That dash name is the true name, the long name is actually the description.

Interesting, they all use the same settings, so if you change any setting at all (even the sound themes) then that also applies to gnome, including login sounds and app themes.

How do you do the opposite? What if you have Fedora 38 KDE 5.27.5 and want to play with Gnome 44 desktop?

i have two questions .when you log out & log in again you use sddm or gdm ?? if you choose the use that kde based on will the change to sddm or it's the default to use gdm ?? thanks

When you install KDE this way, it will remain on GDM. But you can always change it later if you'd like.

GREAT idea-- get rid of that gnome garbage and put something DECENT on it... but then Fedora is STILL slow, clunky and useless.... I've tried to use it 4 times-- seriously- and it's just useless...I do NOT understand how AnYONE could like this crap.
