This actually has more kitchen cabinet space than our tiny house! When we built ours, we only intended to live here a couple years while we built our forever home. We moved in in the fall of 2019. Covid hit, then the cost of everything went thru the roof, and here we are! Our place is a 16x40 ft barn style shed that we turned into a tiny house. I keep all my extra cookware in the shop we built soon after moving in. We're an old couple, and have talked about the situation. If we have to live out the rest of our lives in this shed, we're ok. Food, shelter and clothing are the main priorities in anyone's life. A place like this could be a God-send to someone who might otherwise be in dire straits.

The 1st problem for me is that the bathroom sink is not in the bathroom. Why would you do that? They should have eliminated the wall separating the beds and made it a bunk style room and put the bathroom vanity back in the bathroom.

@Heather_A12 жыл бұрын
It reminds me of a more modern bunkhouse. Hmmmm.... now for that price get two, and have contractors create the front door by combining two porches (enclosing them)on the adjoining ends into a proper kitchen and living room set up by removing the master bedroom on that end, set up like an L turn the remaining master into a proper one by walling off the bathroom on the master wing taking along most of the kitchenette type area into a great big master. Add a little more privacy for the two remaining bedroom bunk areas and also extend the wall on the other side of that wing's bathroom to create a walk-through washroom where laundry could be as well as a bigger bathroom. $10K worth of reno and you are still under $100 and end up with a highly customized home
@celtzen2 жыл бұрын
Honestly that one would be perfect for people like me - single, work from home - use those two back divided rooms as a bedroom and an office and then where the big bed is as a livingroom...

Hello Chance! Don't worry about it! I grew up calling it a plug, or a plug-in, and Not an outlet, let alone an electrical outlet! What a mouthful that is! I guess it depends on where you were raised or where you have lived the longest. My husband grew up calling it an outlet. You start talking like the company you keep you know, if you are around them long enough. I now sometimes call it an outlet and he sometimes calls it a plug-in. Hahaha! But mostly we still call it what we were raised doing so. This place is strictly for a vacation or weekend home! Sure wouldn't want to stay in it, as is, for more than a week at one time! But Chance, there's no where to sit, except on the beds! So on second thought, I wouldn't even use it for a weekend place as is. I would have to have one that has a love seat, at least, to sit on, and a small 2-seater table, and most of all, a bigger bathroom! I didn't see a laundry room either. Of course as long as you don't stay more than one week, you can always take enough clothes to last and just wash them after you get home! You did a good job showing the place, Chance. It has nice porches on it, but needs a bench on both ends! God bless y'all, Chance. You said the family is with you? Well tell them I said hello, and y'all have fun.

I realize that this home is a sort of cabin or worksite home, but it has a major flaw in that there is no hand sink in the bathroom and the kitchen sink is right at the bathroom door. This means, if you are fastidious about washing your hands after using the bathroom, you are confronted with washing your hands in the kitchen sink (not very comforting the thought of washing dishes you eat off of in the same sink you clean up in after a bathroom break), or you have to walk to one end of the unit or the other. Plus, and though I saw a dishwasher and a fridge, I saw no range. That's not a tiny home, that's a mobile motel room.

My dad always corrected me when I called them plugs, "They are not plugs! They are receptacles." The space is good in this one, but the layout puts me in mind of an oil field bunk house. I'd have to reconfigure it to live in - remove those sinks from the living spaces and make the bathroom large enough to have a sink would be my first change. I suppose it'd be doable for that price. Thanks for another great tour and the smiles, Chance. Blessings.

Not everyone's " cup of Jo" Has its merits, can see it provokes some thought and depends on lifestyle/purpose. Example if your into outdoor cooking ( no stove) worker that gets hands dirty ( easy access sinks) Its compact but not cramped like you would be in an RV. Re think of furniture say a pull out sofa bed in that big room or table, one bedroom convert to office etc and back bed for sleeping would be ideal for like a remote post location or onsite accommadation for a ranger/hunter/security. Couple of guys could bunk down for a week without getting cabin fever or killing each other. Alot of Potential if marketed properly to the right people. I've seen worse lay outs & fittings in apartment buildings - least you can go outside.

I took a tour of the comments and it seems most agree on redesigning the layout...one thing they forgot to mention..whether it's used as a guest house/air b&b/or living quarters..with no stove or even a cook top range..drop the dishwasher and reduce the size of the refrigerator...certainly too large for its purpose...the space looks more like student dorm as it's laid out... I'm sure many folks react as I do to some of the floor plans..lol..they need to hire us/me..someone with a better and experienced home exposure... Thanks for all you do..we definitely appreciate the work you put in...hug the boy..he's a sweetie...🌿🌿🌿
