Know-that, be careful using old English - someone may not understand and you will need to realize you wasted the time to learn them. Perhaps it is worth to mention them out of curiousity.

My night class teacher also uses old English words sometimes and when I ask about their meaning or how to use them in sentences she says the same thing: You should know them or know what they mean or at least have heard them once, but they are not so important for a proper conversation anymore, especially nowadays when people use a lot of slang.
