Oh this is really cool, been wanting one of these for ages and also been itching for something to do with my hands. I'll probably replace the O-ring and clip at the top with a big metal lobster claw I got for a harness that clips onto my belt loops, that way I can detach the whole thing easier for when the weather gets too warm for my winter pants.
@gearandalthefirst70277 ай бұрын
Also I've found that the pliers method for rivets sets them a lot straighter than the actual tool and hammer, maybe just me idk but they always end up twisted and all janked when I do it the "right" way

Your videos bring back awesome memories for me. I remember seeing The Virus in the early 2000s at the glass house in Pomona and when they played full circle, all of glass house was one huge circle pit it was amazing. Plus it was with Paul, not Mike from cheap sex. Cheap sex is ok too, launch off to war always had a huge circle pit. Awwwww to be young again. I miss all those bands. A global threat was amazing to watch back then.

reptil do you have a tutorial on how to do patches around the crotch on crust pants?
@be_a_fish7 ай бұрын
👀This would be perfect for spray paint cans. Just need to find a big enough bag.
@tiggytheimpaler54836 ай бұрын
Gas mask bag. I had one used for paint cans, road flares etc in Afghanistan to mark stuff for various reasons and to haul crap like hard drives or what ever. If you shop around you can find ones with compression strapps to, well, compress them so they aren't wobbling all over the place being a pain in the ass.

I'm thumbs up "like" 138 (cue misfits song) Another great video. Apologies if you've already talked about this before, but I'm curious as to what music videos you use in the background of your videos, I see Four Walls by Starving Wolves and They Believe by Call The Cops, but what are the other videos in the background? Other projects I'd love to see your know how on would be DIY bullet belts. I had a friend who'd make his own out of karate gi's that he'd cut to size, glue and sew bullet belts onto from military surplus stores, and use plastic side release buckles to connect them together. I know it's way easier and far more common to just get a bullet belt and link it around you, but I always thought it was cool that he added extra levels of comfort and ease by adding the gi and side release buckle. He also would make vegan bondage belts with the karate gi material and D/O rings. And maybe DIY beer Koozies Possibly DIY backpacks (Do you remember backpack flaps?, bumflaps for your backpack! lol) Just trying to throw some ideas out there, again love your videos, your shit rocks.

I saw one of these for the first time when i was like 12 and have wanted one real bad ever since, but i never saw one again or knew how to look them up. I tried making one out of old jeans but the only thing i successfully did was cut my finger to the bone lmfao so hopefully i can follow this tutorial

Honestly I just wear mine until they look distressed. I've seen people use wire brushes, cat brushes, cheese graters and sand paper to do this though
@klaudiaspearheart24836 ай бұрын
Hi, what size of rivets do you use?
@reptil_diy6 ай бұрын
The size of rivets that I use entirely depends on what I'm riveting. For thick projects like belts and thick leather I use longer prong rivets, for thinner material like these pouches I used short prong rivets.

Something i am trying is making a pocket. I cut off a pair of jeans pants zipper and a rear pocket, cutting a hole into the pants i am making it onto, and sewing the zipper inside of the pants, and sewing the pocket onto the zipper (Dw it was a pair of jeans that don't fit me anymore lol)
@reptil_diy2 ай бұрын
Great idea! I personally would just sew the donor pocket onto your pants. No need to cut a hole into your pants. But feel free to shoot me pics on IG if you have any questions @reptil_kodiya
@nameless65122 ай бұрын
@@reptil_diy true i could do that, i just prefer the zipper since anybody could just take something from inside the pocket, and okay thank you!
