Hello Suzanne, thanks so much for your kind words. It must be terribly hard having had to isolate for so long and let’s hope it will come to an end soon with the roll out of the vaccine. My husband caught Covid back in October and was very unwell for 2 weeks, but fortunately not seriously. I’m glad you are enjoying these boxes as I think they are an absolute joy to receive and as you say very uplifting during these crazy times. What a delightful way to start the day!!! Love the unboxing, but more importantly I love the journal you created to house your Creative Studio goodies!!! I’ve still got the same needle in my machine from when I bought it 2 years ago. I’ve used glue, fabric and paper and it’s worked just fine. I think it does need changing now but I still manage. Just need to figure out how to change it, haha 💕

Hello Nina. You were lucky to get your November box, YCS had a lot of their boxes lost by the courier company and mine was one that was lost. YCS have been fantastic dealing with this so I have no criticism of them at all. I love their boxes. I also love your journal and the fact you are using packaging, brilliant and beautiful. 😘

I’m always impressed by your creativity. Can you do a tutorial on how to sow paper and not beak the machine?

Thanks Judi. I have a very basic Brother HC14 sewing machine which I purchased a couple of years ago. I have the tension set on 4 and I tend to use the medium spaced straight stitch. I’m still after 2 years using the original needle that came with the machine and I have had no issues. I hope that helps 💕

I’ve been subscribing since October last year and although deliveries can sometimes be erratic - some seem to come from Canada via Switzerland - they are well worth the wait. I love a sewn in signature, but I don’t find it very practical. For my art journals I always worked loose leaf and glued the pages into a spiral bound journal once finished as I like to manoeuvre my pages around when working on them. This is a great way to start a journal and keep the pages together and then they can always be sewn in once the journal is completed if you so wish 💕

Hello ZoraMae, apologies for taking so long to reply, your comment went into my spam. The burlap ribbon I use is: Premium quality frayed edge burlap ribbon and the brand is Eleganza. I have it in two widths, 70mm and 100mm and it was the 70mm I used for this journal. I hope that helps 💕
