I'm in my absolute element crafting along side you today Miss A! A beautiful little project, fit to grace the tea stain page 😍 I so enjoy stencilling, it brings out my creative arty side 😅 (as a child) which is a trip down memory lane, I'm so glad through this art of craft journalling it gives me as much pleasure today as it did then 🥰 thank you for this wonderful tutorial, I know I am going to have further withdrawal symptoms when I leave for Barcelona on Wednesday, so I shall do my best to get the Tuesday one in before I go 😃 however I will be following along and as you say, it will be here for me when I get back in May! Another great tutorial/ video. Bravo 👏 This is such a delightful pocket. Of course favorite colors/ & gingham helps 😉 but, I’d especially like to mention how you always suggest using up all of your bits from kits ! Here in the US we have a serious paper shortage. Most don’t think about it. 1. due to there are not being enough trees to keep up with the demand 2. Not being shipped- or unloaded due to employee shortage. It gladdens my 💜 every time you suggest using everything we have. I cut all of my sizex flowers and leaves from kits - I keep my left overs by color - pink- , green, aqua et. I use magazines - Somerset magazine- ( Stampington) has really great paper. Not one page is wasted. Thank you so much for always sharing how to use our paper wisely . It’s sincerely appreciated Angela. 💕hugsC

Thinking always of the environment and landfill sites, so do encourage us to relook anything that would otherwise end up in the earth. Even clothing that is no longer useful to anyone due to holes etc can be used for many a journal item. I try to do my bit and so pleased to hear that you do too. Angela, you are simply amazing! Two tutoring videos this week, plus a special as part of the latest collab, and a special launching your latest kit. I'm breathless just trying to catch up with you 😉 Loved this little fold-out - so pretty! I do have a question concerning the Spring Foliage die cut flowers. I too love how delicate they are on a page but I'm having a difficult time getting the die with long thin petals (looks like a dandelion) to eject the paper without tearing or mangling it. Sizzix suggests placing waxed paper between the die & paper for better release, which I've done at least a couple dozen times, but still about half of them come out looking pretty pathetic. I've used 32lb (120 g/m) paper & cardstock, and I'm using a chrome precision base plate. Any other suggestions? Thanks so much! Best, as always! 💐

Thank you Cynthia. It was a very busy week for me, video wise and the rest. So pleased you have enjoyed it all. To off some assistance with the die cutting of the long thin flowers: I don't use wax paper or anything like that. I have just use my Sizzix die pick, which is like a pokey tool, except thinner and poke the hole in the middle of the flower die. You could use a darning needle or something like that. They pop right out. I use 160 gsm paper, which is a little more robust than the 120 gsm. Not sure if that plays a roll, but a little stronger. I use my standard base plates, tried the magnetic one, but it has a mind of its own! 😂 I hope that is helpful for you. Oh, make sure your cutting plates are straight, not curved.
