It is the amazing postcards sent by the community that is the real power. Without you all this would only be a mini watercolor tutorial.

You can do it! Remember it is just paper and focus on what you can learn from each one.

I'm glad I tried this. I'm still afraid to do the horse because my cherries, well, let's just not go there! This little project gave me a better feel for working with the water color pencils. They probably won't be a favorite except for occasional use. I have carpal tunnel syndrome, and holding on to a pencil and bearing down with it is uncomfortable. But thank you Sarah for showing me something new. I love love love LMA! AND, it's only January 24 and my February box just arrived on my doorstep!

I love carnations

They make a tiny sandpaper stick for pencils. For shavings or to sharpen. They usually come in most art graphite pencil sets?

I gasped out loud when you broke that pencil lead! But the effect was worth it. I'm pretty sure. ;-)

I was really worried that I couldn’t do this and ended up loving my carnations :-). Love this. BTW, would love to learn hydrangeas with pencils. I’m struggling with these pencils just a bit. And Let’s Make art matter is wonderful. If you can make someone smile that’s a good thing.

Glad it was helpful! I will add the Hydrangea to our request list!

Wow I did not see that coming. I’m using some borrowed water color pencils so I didn’t do it but I want to try it with my own

I didn’t have any shavings to use, so I tried just flicking the pencil lead with my thumbnail onto the paper - it worked great!

I had a question are there more normal watercolour painting tutorials coming up or is it only watercolour pencils from now on?
@debbielavender27563 жыл бұрын
Watercolour pencils were a special for January. I believe Watercolour paints return in February.
@LetsMakeArt3 жыл бұрын
This is a great question! We will have more liquid watercolor projects coming in February. January was a special box.

Hi Sara, I recently found your channel/videos and love your creativity and inspiration. In this last week I have watched many new and older videos and enjoy your tips and instruction. I am waiting for my ordered vintage sewing machine project and to start learning how to watercolor. However, as a viewer, the continued chatter and interruptions from your cameramen is becoming so frustrating that I'm finding it harder and harder to watch a hole video. Not only are they not helpful, they distract you from your instruction and disrupt us from the knowledge you have to share with us. This is not to scold you, but to give another version/ view of how they are affecting your video viewers. Instructional videos should be for teaching not sharing work communications. I will try to hang in there to at least complete my project but I can't promise to continue. Keep up your good work with your painting. This was only to give your my perception of your videos. God Bless
