Really cute set! I'm enjoying your sewing and style journey, as you refine what you want to make and what you do with your channel. As far as the tutorial, I agree that the top instructions were more detailed and step by step. I got a bit lost at the skirt waistband. But I think someone following along could rewatch it and figure it out if they know how to sew. You were covering a lot of ground in this one video (style journey, defining your new direction plus self-drafting and TWO tutorials!!) It all fit together well, but that probably makes it harder for you to do all the things you wanted to get to. But I still totally enjoyed it all. One suggestion: give a quick preview or thumbnail of what it will look like, so people can get all excited with you about what we're about to make! 😊 keep doing what you're doing. It's working.❤

Julie, how would this translate to woven fabric? I thought both sets were very cute.

Thank you! With the skirt - Cut 1/2 of the waist measurement, instead of 1/4th. This will give you a gathered waist but one that can still be pulled over the hips, maintaining the ease. I would make the waist band the width of the new circumference and use the elastic (measured as your waist - 1) to gather it all all. As for the top, no clue how it would translate to a woven 😅 Hope this helps!
