when you said jojoba oil helps with acne prone skin and absorbs quickly i grabbed my bottle so fast and put it on my face lol. This is interesting and relaxing. Thanks Diane. Nothing as intoxicating for me as driving thru the citrus groves of California when in bloom. And the blossoms are typically edible. Makes an aromatic tea. Use sparingly bcuz can taste bitter. A flower essence i luv using to flavor certain sweets is rose water. We are opposites when it comes to patchouli and sandalwood as i "covet" the former(patchouli). I am okay with sandalwood burned as incense, however. Patchouli can be nice paired with citrusy notes. Having dry skin and hair, (and being a swimmer,chlorine)i used to slap on any oil until i researched oils which penetrate skin and those that form a barrier. This was particularly helpful when i figured out how to use them directly in my hair. Nice on skin too. My current go-to is peanut oil mixed with a small amount of vegetable glycerin and castor oil. May add sesame too. Glycerin can be quite greasy so use sparingly. Did you know that a main ingredient in many love potions for the boudoire is glycerin? Not only does it have a sweet taste, it is quite slick and blowing air on it imparts a warm sensation.
