How beautiful, the fall leaves. We have retired to Florida but grew up in New York State. Brings back memories.

I know Robin probably didn't find the situation amusing, but your sound effects as he was working on the lighting in the bathroom was so funny. Your town's scenery is beautiful! You'll get a kick out of knowing you kept me company while I was folding laundry.

💡It's great that Robin is chipping away at the bathroom reno with your encouragement to tackle it in small chunks. We just went on a road trip to northern Ontario and the changing leaves were beautiful here too. Thanks for the tour!

Karen, Can make a suggestion? I recommend Celtic Salt daily for Evonne! It’s helps with migraines. There is a salt/migraine connection. I sprinkle it in my water daily and some in my tongue in the morning. It has helped me greatly with my migraines!! I only have one on occasion now instead of several times a week. I was skeptical at first but it does help. It kinda works like the electrolytes people bout in their water but it’s all natural. Celtic salt is sea salt. It’s also called “sel gris” or “gray salt” because of its gray color, which comes from the extra minerals: magnesium, calcium, potassium, zinc, and iron.

Karen, I think it is great all your family will be with you for Christmas. I definitely think you are wise to plan all the food you are going to eat as early as possible, even if you don’t actually purchase it right away. How special will it be for all you to be together making lasting memories. Btw it is also a great opportunity to give each of them their boxes of photos and any memorabilia boxes you are storing for them, so you can clear some of it out of your basement. Anyway, it was nice to see Robin doing the lights in the bathroom. My hubby Roger has put up and taken down many lights in our house and it is always been a pain when the bolts that hold the shades to the light itself get cross thread and stuck, so I understand why he had difficulty removing that shade. It looks such a big job to cut out the wall to reroute the electric wiring, so if it was me, I would probably just patch the long wiring cutout and leave the existing wires as they are, if you are going to replace the wall lights in the same place as before. Finally, I really hope all the girls are feeling better soon. Sending them, you and Robin healing light energy and meditative thoughts. 🤗🫂🙏

Another enjoyable video from you. You have made me think that maybe I should start planning for Christmas. We don’t do thanksgiving here in Ireland so Christmas is the big one for us. Last year I did not really do any forward planning but the one thing I did do was start buying dry stock goods that I use at Christmas anytime I did the food shop. This made it so much easier than doing one great big Christmas shop and most likely saved me some money to. You might like to check out Diane in Denmark on you tube. I enjoy her declutter videos and she is so cheerful.

I make vegan waffles often. I just use my regular recipe but substitute almond milk for dairy milk and use flax eggs rather than chicken eggs. They’re really good.

I remember you saying last year you needed to plan for Christmas earlier...so nice work getti g a head start! Potato bar can be a good crowd meal. Last week my daughter gave me a couple of gift ideas and I bought stamps for cards. I have done a few deep cleaning projects, so that helps around holidays. I may start looking for a few new clothing items for holiday events later this week.

Maybe try putting together a holiday binder that holds all your list. I’m planning on starting one at least anyway for next year. This year hasn’t been to good for us and unfortunately I have to have cataract surgery before the holidays so money will be extremely tight. I had been putting $20 aside every week for the holidays but my husband work hours got cut some so I had to stop but I will get it going again hopefully soon

Christmas seems so far away. There are so many things in my planner befor that. But wow - 80 days will go by faaaast. We always meet at my parents house on Christmas day. I always bring dessert - I did it once and it became a wont. 😅 And I also bring cookies. My mom does the cooking - together wir my son. In Germany Christmas eve is celebrated much more than the US. But I don´t know who will be here for it - I have to see. And yes to the sour dough. I thought about starting one for a long time now. But I´m afraid it will stress me out.

Hey don’t feel bad on the bathroom project taking long time to get done. Bob and I have not finished a few projects we started earlier this year. Like our Library makeover with shelves we need to make one more shelf & painting exterior of house: garage doors need painted and trim needs painted. Now he is working on the garage makeover. Life happens! Budget restraints happen! 🥴 And sometimes you just gotta do what you feel like doing. Aka motivated to do!

I read this many years ago, and it was a game-changer… instead of one 20-24 LB turkey, we started to get 2 12 LB turkeys… and now that we are fewer, we do one 12 LB turkey… starting breast side down of course!

I suggest a family gift of a membership to a local zoo for your kids with young children. Then, when you visit them, they can take Grammy to the zoo. It's a nice experience gift that brings memories instead of giving "things."

Turnips and Rutebegas are different plants put they taste a like if that helps. one is more yellowy colored i think when peeled and cooked. if this helps. Rutabagas are usually larger and have a brownish-yellowish or purple exterior, while turnips are smaller and have a white or purple exterior. Rutabaga leaves are bluish-green, while turnip leaves are different.

Hellooo Karen, you’re really getting organised for Christmas ! Will they all be staying over for the holiday? At least getting all the jobs and prepping where you can will really lighten the load and ensure you get to enjoy everyone. You live in a beautiful area😍 such wonderful colours. When Robin was in the bathroom he mentioned the work that needs doing to get the wall in good condition but honestly I couldn’t stop seeing the smiling faces of the two holes that held the mirror😂 then later you saw a face in the Apple😂 I’m still not fully well, I think we’ve had covid again, each year there seems to be a different strain. Never mind, just doing what I can then very little in between, at least I’ve not got the awful headaches I was having so that’s a blessing, as always much love n light to you.🥰🥰🥰🥰
