Have you thought about pricing some of the items in the Airbnb so people can take home a souvenir from you? That way you can keep shopping for the home as well.

As a person who stays in Air B & B's, NO to selling stuff in the unit. You want to feel you are walking like you are home and on vacation, not in a store.

Can I suggest mix and match Corelle? It was made in tons of patterns but the same shape blank so everything goes together nicely. I mix vintage Corelle & even swap out seasonally. Durable, dishwasher & microwave safe & also a nice nod to your upstate NY roots ;-).

I love watching you thrift. Although I don''t resell, and really don't need anything new at my age, your knowledge and tutelage has given me the bug again, so I have recently been stopping at my local Salvation Army while walking back from my library. I always cruise the aisle more than once, and pick up what I think is any good and hang on to it to consider (and before someone else gets it). The other day I spied a biscuit jar from the wrong side of the shelf filled with loads of mundane clear glass, and reached through to snag it, a la Jocelyn. On inspection, it was dirty and goopy, but with no obvious chips or cracks, and clearly marked Waterford (for $5.99!!). When I got it home, Goof Off, my Scotty Peeler and warm soap and water confirmed that it was in perfect condition. I think it will get fairy lights and vintage ornaments in it for Christmas.

Love the idea of restaurant ware at the airbnb! The bird thing is called a bird bottle and it's a house for small birds to build nests in. You hang it on a flat surface like the side of your house, often up high like at the eaves.

Corelle ware is the best. ⭐️ They last a long time. My set is going on 40. Went through three boys. Have only lost two pieces. Has tons of patterns. I have picked up pieces here and there and have at least 25 different patterns. Also they are the same size and will stack well. ⭐️⭐️ Will take up less space.

Jocelyn, I love watching uour videos. You educate us thrift store novices on what to look for that has value. A couple of weeks ago, i went one of pur local thrift stores. The first thing i noticed was a squate plate. When i turned it over it said hand painted in Italy by Bellini. My first good score. Next I noticed this teapot that jad a cool shape. I passed it up but it kept calling me. I went back, got it, and looked it up. My second bog score. Its a mid century Franciscan piece that is no longer in production. The following week i went to a different thrift store. The first thing i saw was a. Angel. I collect them. I looked at it and it was hand painted, signed by the artist, Fenton glass Angel bell. My biggest score! Thank for your tips! Good luck woth your BNB!

Okay and thinking about putting restaurant ware into your Airbnb, most people that will be staying there will probably be using the dishwasher where the plates would get damaged from not being hand washed. Just what you need another comment about the dishes, but you might want to think about the chipping, the breaking the gold whether or not it can go in the dishwasher so my big suggestion is corell, mix and match Corel because it won’t break as much you can have any pattern or variety that you want and anytime you need more it’s readily available and they all stack together and fit in the cabinets. Nobody is gonna have a hard time lifting them.including kids & elderly

Research lead risk wirh Corelle plates from before 2005. I found out that my Corelle dishes from 1993 were a risk for leaching lead into food. Has to do with a glaze used to protect the decoration that contains lead. Long term use (like for 30 years!) and heat (microwave) increases the chance of lead leaching into food. Corelle suggested only using these plates as "decorative."
