When I visit an estate sale I tend to get melancholy. The one you are in now I imagined the lady having lavish dinner parties with all the silver and china. Then perhaps garden parties when she would have friends over and use some of her silver serving pieces and tea cups. What fun she must have had collecting all that beautiful glass and other items. To her I say rest in peace sweet lady your precious collections will still be loved and appreciated. Hugs 🥰 to you George.

Good evening, George. Geez! This was more than a little overwhelming. There was so much there, and so many collections of different things, it would take the better part of forever to browse that sale. At $6 to $8 each, I'd load up on the jewel trees. I would've ended up with a collection of salt cellars, too 😂 I really liked the Royal Vienna demitasse cup and saucer. There was an Asian doll where the Woodstock figure was that interested me. Those Fenton Jade pieces were beautiful. I really liked the vitrine. The quilts would've definitely had my interest. I would've definitely gained a lot of weight...toting all of those geodes with me 😆 It would take several days to just shop that sale. Having to price all of it...😧 Lots of really interesting items there! Thanks for showing it to all of us!
@TheAntiqueNomadКүн бұрын
Sure is a lot! The jewel trees are really cute and I'd never seen a whole collection together. The salt cellars are cool, I sell them well everywhere I go. Good eye on the Royal Vienna set, that was more special, and the Asian doll is a cute one that we see more on the west coast than where you are. The vitrine was the best piece of furniture in the house, although I like the marble top chest of drawers as well. Glad you had fun watching it unfold!

But her other son and her husband did not die in the war. That son,a Marine who survived the war, and her husband who was away for a time in Utah during the war doing government work both worked at and helped run her company after the war.
