Arrgg, how do the door trick!?xD I tab into object mode, I select the cutout object, then shift select the object I'm cutting out of, then when I hit "Shift -" it just zooms in, or "Shift + Ctrl + Num -" as it says on his screen does nothing... idk what I'm missing:[

Your ideas are really creative! Small tip: you can duplicate using Alt + D in order to create a linked duplicate which automatically links object data and materials, so you can easily tweak one tower later instead of 4.

Hi, I've been following you for a short time, but thanks to your videos I'm learning a lot. I've always liked low poly design and I've been encouraged to make the racing game you're teaching. My knowledge in Blender was 0 and I could follow all your steps and have a track and a car modeled. 👍🚗

Instead of subdividing again (open search menu type subdivide) to reopen the subdivide menu, you can just click F9 to reopen last menu operation, this also works for other menus eg. bevel. As always E to extrude, R to rotate, S to scale, and I to inset. Also would love to see what camera, lens, and other equipment you're using, pc specs, monitor, keyboard, mouse etc...

I'm new to your channel and just saw your 10k subscribe video and your youngest kid has such a cute smile, its really "contagious" 😂 It's also crazy to think that you had no kids (or only one) when you started this channel. Love your channel man. I'm really really looking forward to following your tutorial for the little racing game as I have been wanting to make a game similar to that for quite some time. A better way to get the line across instead of subdividing the two lines on the top of the castle is to use the knife tool and use control to snap to the center of the line.

Something I find very useful is the Quick Favorites feature. Just right click on the actions you perform a lot and select "Add to Quick Favorites". Then press 'Q' to access the menu and all your actions are there :). The menu is different for each window (so 3D viewport is different to the UV Editor). Hope this helps!

If You want to select every second (or third, ect) face, you select the first then select another face, then press ctrl + shift + plus, and blender will keep the same gap between the new selections, as the first and second had. (This works with every selection mode.)

@@An3Dev Apparently its due to rigify not naming the bones properly when you set the skeleton to humanoid in unity. If you set it to generic it only seems to half work though.

for 10:22 you could just select the top face > right click > subdivide > then pull the center line up, you'll have 4 faces instead of 2 though, but It'd probably be faster

You saying the keys as you do them is one of the charms of these videos and it's 75% of the reason I remember what all of these keys do now and I'm not constantly opening menus all the time. Thanks for these videos. I've learned more in a week of watching your 10 minute thrill rides than I have in a year of self-teaching and watching more drawn out tutorials. Keep up the great work!

Right click! Subdivide is the first one at the top :) And honestly if you right click and subdivide once, you could do Shift+R right away to do it again much faster

Old video, you probably know much better now, but you can add a shortcut to the subdivide option in the context menu. The caveat is that the subdivide cuts a face in four parts, so you should still select two of the unnecessary edges and dissolve them.

I think you should try and do a DSLR camera next. I tried myself and I actually found it pretty challenging (Probably just because I've only been using Blender for a little less than a week). It's a question with Blender. I have imported a model which has different parts, when I go to add a texture to a part of the model I can't add a texture to another part. If I try it just goes over the texture I already placed. Sorry if you can't understand it.
