Even if the videos are the same tricks over and over, it's still really entertaining. Don't worry about showing us something crazy or new. I appreciate that you re explain things like alt+e or "." and "," for the different extrude options. Because I forget everytime and it's helpful to be reminded. On a game jam recently I just gave up on extruding all at once because I couldn't get them to extrude from their origins along their normals, so it's really helpful that you remind us. If you really wanted to do something ground breaking, show us more unity tutorials. That car racing series was really instructive. Thanks and happy 100k/40th modeling challenge!

Wow, I thought you would get straight into modelling this week, but instead I witnessed a fascinating psychological interplay between you and someone I'll call "Captain Orange," who seems to represent a large fan base. Here's something that will blow your mind: you can choose not to let Captain Orange push you around, and just do whatever you want with your channel. Not caring about how many views or followers you have can be liberating. Also, for the record: I don't mind if you get straight into modelling without an intro, but some text at the bottom of the screen that says something like "Talking bit after modelling, this week; experiment" would be nice as a warning. Also, timestamps/chapters, so you can instruct people to skip to the talking bit at the end, then jump back to the beginning (if they start complaining about change of format.)

@imphenzia I'm trying to follow your videos to lear blender and it's really cool, I'm already getting better, but when I export my models to unity, the colors are changing a little. I'm using the same image and everything like I have to, but grey colors will get a little grey/blue'ish, white gets a little more grey and so on. It's close, but the colors are never 100% as in Blender. What am I doing wrong?

The scene is set up ahead of time. The object has one material that uses his palette image (seen in the upper left of the screen). He colors each individual face by moving the uv around over those colors.

I don't think its gonna happen. He has the time for making everything else but. I personally don't really care about the episodes but I don't particularly like being "abandoned" without any explanation. I believe that there's nothing in it for him to continue that low poly race series. I might be wrong, but he might already tasted bigger crumb of KZbin. And also... he might just simply forget about it and somehow always he misses comment like yours.

This is all still the cube object. Does that mean that a model like this will use only 1 drawcall in unity ?
@DanielWayota4 жыл бұрын
Unity groups meshes by material so a Scene made with this kind of objects will generate 1 or two draw calls because all of them use the same material and texture. The type of mesh usualy doesn't matter that much. Hope that answers you question! :D
@Bolleboos4 жыл бұрын
@@DanielWayota but when dos it group them when using URP ? By default ? Or only if you mark them as static ?
@DanielWayota4 жыл бұрын
@@Bolleboos As far I understand. Unity groups by material by default to optimize draw calls. The static mark is another "system" Static and dynamic meshes go separated. Static are uploaded to the GPU once and dynamic are uploaded every frame.
