I am surprised nobody in-universe (and not many out of it) were commenting on just how psychopathic Safi was. Like, what the hell? Sure, lots of grief around Maya. But I could understand that kind of malicious short-sightedness from like, LiS1 Chloe. Not someone who's supposed to be a grad student in what I assume is her mid 20s? Genuinely insane character.

In terms of conflict escalation, going after Lucas' kid as a step one was an insane one. Thing is, we have, at most, 2 days where we don't know where alive world Safi was after the murder night, so in the time it took for her to learn her book was cancelled, it took her all of two days to ruin his relationship with his son and frame Gwen for selling drugs. I feel nitpicky for saying it, but that's not enough time, and, I feel even more insane for theorizing this, but the only way for that to ACTUALLY be enough time is if Safi premeditated it all before her deal got cancelled, only putting the plan into action after the fact
