You know, I never realized how annoying it can be for people who have disabilities, in a wheelchair or not, to access places without ramps. Thank you Hannah and Shane for opening my eyes to a new world in which I knew nothing about. 😊

As another disabled person, I genuinely do not under some of these comments! Just because I fight for accessibility does NOT mean that I don’t enjoy the things that I am able to do! Of course I am so glad that we as a country have come pretty far accessibility wise, but that doesn’t mean that I won’t fight until it’s better, and everyone who is disabled has access to everything an able bodied person can!

First, you two are amazing! I enjoy your videos so much. You complement each other so well and your humor definitely cracks me up. Second, I definitely wish places would be more accessible. I was just browsing Facebook (says an exhausted teacher on a September Friday night) and a video posted by a man who is living with SMA had friends create a makeshift backpack seat to carry him around places in Europe that he wouldn't have been able to see otherwise. I don't know that I would necessarily suggest carrying Shane, but I was just wondering if he might be able to get a lightweight travel wheelchair setup where he could use his motorized wheelchair the majority of the time but transfer into one that Hannah would be able to maneuver over obstacles like the curb or small steps. Not sure if that would be possible. It's just such a shame to miss out on things because ramps or elevators are out of service (or not even in place to begin with!).

You're right about that clock; it has a fascinating history but the whole spectacle of the chiming isn't really very interesting in the end. Maybe it has a special chime at noon or something. I thought this video was great and I can totally relate to the inaccessibility issues. Where I live in Northern Ontario, Canada our small town is not very accessible either. I pretty much have to avoid almost all the stores downtown because I can't get into them. I end up doing everything in the big box stores like Walmart, Canadian Tire and the small shopping mall. Travel is also a huge frustration too when you don't know how accessible accommodations are at or on the way to your destinations. It sucks having to do so much extra planning but it has to be done. I for one can't sit at home and sulk all the time. That's not me I gotta make the best of life and figure things out. I'm glad that you're helping to raise awareness of the issue though.

Great video guys, so sorry you had to deal with evil steps. It's unfortunate that a lot of people don't realize that while their attractions may be what they deem as accessible, the access to the attraction also needs to be accessible. Maybe this straw mouthpiece could be fixated to somewhere on Shane's chair so that the bladder just gets filled with whatever delicious beverage he wants and then he can use the straw at anytime? Great video!

Hi Shane and Hannah, I have just seen your video about Prague and share your disappointment on the accessibility of the town. We where there last summer and encounter the same issues as you guys did. We first visit the tourist information center and asked them witch places where adjusted to aces whit my electronic wheelchair. And for such a touristic city only a few places could be found in they brochure. The ramp of the church tower you guys could not enter, was luckily fixed when we where there and after taken 2 elevators and a stair elevator, I went to the top. But there I needed to stay inside, because the best view was on the outside of the building and only accessible trough small corridors. But they had adjust a old tower so wheelchair users could see a panoramic view of the city. The hop on-hop off bus company use non-accessible vehicles, so a city tour isn't possible. Same issue for the river cruises, where you can't go to the dock because of steps and the boats entry are made with high doorsteps. We also went to the castle with using the tram. This was good accessible and when we where on top of the hill every part of the castle and cathedral was flat. Besides those two places, we decided to leave Prague. Mainly because of the Ibis hotel room for disabled people, witch was the small and narrow. We have visit a lot of cites in and out of Europe and mostly where very satisfied about the things they do to make wheelchair users visit the most places, but Prague is on the the bottom of owner list. Luckily the Hard Rock Café has a good accessible elevator and bathrooms. I wish you both many a pleasant time and journeys. Regards, Luc & Sonja

I went to Prague before I was in a wheelchair and I think I noticed there being a lot of steps everywhere but it wasn't such a huge deal when I was still on crutches. I know this is an old comment, but I just wanted to let you know that most wheelchair users dont like the term "wheelchair bound". I have to use a wheelchair to go anywhere. Severe 5th vertabrae birth defect. Mine has always been a manual. Im so slow at trying to get around.. Luckily 2 strong sons help to get my wheelchair out of my car. So I definatly get it. So it is unfortunate the places that myself, you and many others cant get to. Im glad when you talk about no access with wheelchairs... all stair entrances. Not only wheelchairs, but people with walking disabilities useing a cane. sometimes it will look like a small step to everyone else, but to me and others, I know its going to be a problem. As far as the beautiful city with all the cobblestone I just love but that kind is very annoying in a wheelchair or people with walking issues. I cant imagone what year it was built.. and of course I have no idea how people got around that had mobilty issues prior to 100 years ago. They probably stayed home most of the time like me.. 😜 Your both awesome..totally so fun..
