Your description of how our mind uses light to decipher depth is fantastic!! I just hope I can remember it and use it as I learn to paint.

Forgot to say, I love your channel! You teach the way your mind is working at that is hard to find. Reasons for what you're doing helps it all come together. Beautiful work. Life is good, art makes it better!

I love how this communicates light and darkness, the flame is amazing! Also, Keenan is the best support “character” for the LMA artists!

You’re such a good teacher. I love that you “give permission” to make mistakes and learn, and how you communicate that art is art regardless of how good the outcome may be!

That was tough! Not in a bad way. But I painted this on 6 paintings to take to my church for our Day of the Dead altars. So I was under a time constraint. I can't wait to share my photos in the facebook group. I am proud of them!

I love this painting. Just so elegant! I have a question. When the background is black like this, would it work to use black watercolor paper?

If we don’t have gouache and are using watercolor, should we start with lights and go to darks?
@ingelippke47452 жыл бұрын
How did you manage, NOT to reactivate the black background? I did not success 😢

I really love your candle painting. I’m new to gouache and was wondering what brand of gouache did you use?

Sorry gang. I have a hot mess on my paper. My bokeh effect didn’t work at all. The bubbles picked up the black background paint and turned into mud. And my transition on the candle was an epic fail. Any tips for how much water to use? I always seem to have either too much water or too much paint.

I am pretty sure that Sarah has a how to use gouache videos or video. Hope this helps! :)
