Keenan u have really gotten so good with camera work. U know when to go in, overhead, really impressive (at least to me). I know nothing except how good it looks! I just really wanted to brag on u. And I love hearing u respond in the background and tell things about what Sarah is painting. So enjoyable. And of course, love watching Sarah. What a great teacher!

I am in Virginia, my sister is in Hawaii. We cancelled our every two years vacation together this year due to the virus. So sad. Being quarantined on top of that has made it really difficult for Both of us. We started picking one of your tutorials a week to try and then every saturday we talk on the phone, exchange our art with each other, and laugh and plan our next project. Thank you for providing these tutorials on line. I can not express to you what it means to us both!!!

Thank you, Sarah, for the encouragement to be patient (and not to give up) when it comes to ideas of what and how to paint it?! This is something I really struggle with! I want to "freestyle" it but then get frustrated on the what and the execution of it, so again, THANK YOU for the reminder!

I am in Nevada - I like to call that golden glow at sunset Movie Sun! I absolutely LOVE Movie Sun. It's what they use on the movies for happy endings where people are going off to have a happy life. I got so excited when I knew you were trying to recreate Movie Sun. Ah. Such a fun project. I loved this even more than I would have guessed. Thanks so much!!

Thank you for your view of things. Learning that it is okay to make mistakes and be different is a hard lesson for many of us. Your enthusiasm is infectious. At almost 50 I am finally trying an art form I have always wanted to do but was to afraid because it would look bad. Thank you again. PS. How would you paint a black dog?

You should keep doing the substitute paint colors if we don't have that exact color.

This was a difficult one for me. I ended up throwing it away. It’s only paper! I think a wheat painting practice at the beginning would have helped. Saw many on FB had the same experience. Thank you, Sarah!

The masters brush cleaner is amazing for reshaping brushes after you clean them you just roll your brush in it a little just enough to reshape it and let it dry works amazing and you can get a pretty large tub of it for about 5 bucks on amazon also that stuff works amazing on stains my kids are very messy and can get extremely stained clothes in the middle of the ocean I swear lol but I’ve never had anything get stains out so easy even paint ink grass red juice even stains that have been dried multiple times works great and works great for getting ink and paint off your brushes even dried “ruined” brushes!!!!! I love that stuff!!!

Love it.. I think I will try masking paper and a circle die cut to cut it. Can you use the edge of a credit card for the grasses you first started? I've seen that used before. I will be trying this tomorrow.. Thanks as always Sarah. I love LMA and the LMA family.

I have a question. The tutorial says emerald green. I'm a fairly new subscriber and have the subscription box, but there was no emerald green in the kit and I'm not great a mixing colors yet. What should I use instead? Thanks so much for the help!
@SARAHakaTheDuke4 жыл бұрын
I really think it it Leaf Green, it doesn't matter much though, you are using such a a small amount.
@dalener.rowley35804 жыл бұрын

@@LetsMakeArt No worries. And thank you! May I ask another question? I'm trying to do moody silos (I have a thing for clouds, so I won't even tell you how many times I've painted this ;). I want to try it with the liquid paints, but don't have Space Blue. What is the best blue with which to make a good moody navy (if it is Space Blue, I will buy it, but if I'm going to buy a larger bottle I want to make sure I'm buying the best blue)? My previous attempts were either too purple or two aqua-y. Thanks again for your help - painting with you has been a huge help to my anxiety. I can't even tell you how much a difference you make. :)
@dalener.rowley35804 жыл бұрын
@Caroline Winks Thank you! (And now I'm kicking myself for having skipped August, on account of being a little behind still from last month.) Maybe I will just order a bottle of space blue so I can paint lots and lots of moody skies. :)

@lizzy99754 жыл бұрын
Meanwhile the rest of us are trying to get fuzzy edges......
@LetsMakeArt4 жыл бұрын
Fuzzy edges can sometimes be a sign that you need a little more water on your brush. We have found that when the pigment is too concentrated the edges can become fuzzy.

Keenan: here's an idea for wheat (or other plants, animals, etc.) facts: www.britannica.com/plant/wheat. Also, Sarah, I was thinking you could trace a half-circle on your blue tape (or whatever size fits) and stick both 1/2 circles together. Easy way to make a mask. Love all your tutorials. Side note, is there a way you could announce your snack-offs? That way we can participate from afar.

Please zoom in more when doing details. It was so hard to see what you were doing w the wheat. You would ask him if he was zoomed in and he wasn't until towards the end. You can use any brushes on our tutorials. The Round 6 and Round 2 are suggested.

I was going to use a mop brush myself or a larger round. It's a lot of paper to get water and paint onto with a size 6.

chaserkitty I know right? I could feel the brush 6 saying ‘noo this is too much paper for me to wet’. A round 16 , or a mop.
