I just learned some new techniques that I don’t think the bigger KZbinrs have even considered!

Cheers! I’m certainly not the most talented painter, but I’ll do my best to keep things interesting for you!

Great tutorial. Need to go back to my vikings and add some gore to them. :)

And I feel I need to repaint or enhance them a bit too. I rushed the painting too much back when I was painting the army. Your videos are a good source for inspiration. :)

That’s next on my agenda too!

Just ordered my first Victrix miniatures. Your channel inspired me to try out some historical miniatures always been into GW fantasy/ AOS. I picked up some Victrix Vikings and Rus, have you ever kit bashed those kits with the dark age archer kit? I know the website says you can was just wondering if it’s worth it Id like to have some archers in the army too?

Glad to hear you’re diving into Historicals! As I’ve mentioned I’m a big fantasy gamer, I typically use my historical figures as human factions in fantasy rulesets. Haven’t picked up the archer kit yet, but my Rus should be arriving today and I’ll get a review up featuring kitbashes with other Victrix products. From experience, the kits are all incredibly interchangeable if you pay attention to how much of the arms are sculpted onto the torsos (I go into this in some detail on the Greek Hoplite review, if you haven’t seen it). The only time you’ll need to do any cutting is if you have some of the more dynamic poses or weapons like two-handed Dane axes that are designed to fit in a specific way. Let me know if you run into any issues or questions with them and I’d be happy to talk through them with you!

Wait, so you're not supposed to dip shade them with it?
@Dan-ds8sf2 ай бұрын
Oh I dip shade everything, this is the absolute last step on otherwise-finished models (even after matte varnish).

@Dan-ds8sf , I was meaning to joke with the idea of dipping the models in Blood For the Blood God technical paint
