Doing faces is so hard. Glad I gave it a go today! And I love the idea of you having us paint lips. I've already done the eyes so I would be on my way to an entire face!

I have another hint for pressure/tracing ~ if you put something like another sheet of watercolor paper, a blotter or a cutting mat under your project when you trace, your lines will come out softer/lighter, even if you press a bit harder than you think you should.

Oh my gosh, this was SO much fun! You just helped me create my first "official" watercolor painting. Gobsmacked at how easy you made it; I've never fully completed an image that fast with results that I loved this much. Thank you!

Earlier this year I filled out a survey from Let's Make Art and I was new to the subscription. One of my comments was that "Sarah and the camera man have good rapport". I only just got to doing this one now and just found out you two are married! 😆 I'm glad you have good rapport!

I loved watching this!! My outline is drawn and I’m ready to paint!! One question- after it dries are you supposed to brush off the salt?
@LetsMakeArt3 жыл бұрын
You can, but make sure to wait until the paint is 100% dry. Sarah often leaves her salt on her paintings,

I wonder if we have and use an angled brush for the shading on the face and neck, and did a side load, if that would make the blending easier or smoother?

Hi Sarah, This may have been asked. . But can I use any particular salt? As I use pink himalayan salt Thanks
@LetsMakeArt3 жыл бұрын
Any salt works. Pink, red, and black salts will work but can leave behind a bit of their color from the minerals in the salt. Plain table salt and kosher salt seem to work the best. The larger the crystal the bigger the reaction.

What is the color equivalent of deep yellow to dr. Ph. Martin’s color?
@LaurenMilla3 жыл бұрын
If Ph. doesn't have one specifically called deep yellow, I find daffodil yellow works well, it's warmer than a lemon yellow which is all that's meant by deep
@destresswithyoga3 жыл бұрын
