Thank you! This is my first time being even close to this organized so I hope it sticks. Hope you are in a place where you get to start growing soon, I know I'm excited for spring to get here. 😊

Never knew Texas was know for our big bugs, but to be honest we do have some pretty big grasshoppers in West Texas. We have a lot of grasshoppers in West Texas, with fewer in East Texas but one variety is enormous. It is hard not to over crowd tomatoes. Cherry tomatoes tend to want to over power everything else. And if you grew good tall corn, your soil was pretty good. Corn takes a lot of nutrients to grow tall. I will be planting my tomato seeds this weekend, right before our big winter storm.

@@planetdirtbackyardgarden I was a youth camp counselor at church camp by Roaring Springs in West Texas. They had the biggest Rhino beetles I have ever seen, and yes, they can fly. My poor city girl wife was pregnant and had a really difficult time dealing with the bugs. The really big bugs come out later at night.
