I was a play tester on this game, running through games with Lo-Tech, Mid-Tech and Hi-Tech squads. I definitely found Hi-Tech to be the most forgiving, and Lo-Tech, the most punishing. The level of randomness in each turn keeps you guessing and on edge. Room Delta is terrifying; those fraggin' turrets! I like how the aliens' Damage Track works in this game. 9:08 "It'll vaporize, because it is an even number..." My brain never made that connection, and so I kept on looking up the damage rules. I like Ash's use of teleporters as the entry and exit points; really adding to the Quake feel of the setting, like the Slipgates in that game. Also the choice of mat and terrain is great.

Really interesting scenario-specific rules for dynamic moving terrain, changing the map layout and potentially closing like a trap on figures that risk standing in the danger zones

Looks like a fun pick up and go game. Like most of Joe's games I love how you can fill in the blanks not just your own models, but with your own stories and lore.

2 years later but yes! It just came out today as a pdf and book through drivethrurpg !! It's $12.50 usd for the pdf and $22.50 usd for the hardcover book.
