@@trnovsky33 well it's easier to play around not having enough mana instead of not having enough life, especially with external mana sources like Insight or the good ole mana pot, or late game buffs like CTA.

Tbh stat points are not the most interesting aspect of a build

@3:02 for an end game setup, in ptr, I was messing around with Dragonscale. You can get some pretty solid hydra damage with a ton of +all skills, a lvl 25 conviction, and lvl 12 lower resist from Frenzy Plague Merc. This allows you to mix in the Hydra's while you're spamming FoH, and you can begin to clear "animal" class monsters much more efficiently. And with the "-207% Enemy Resistances" you break pretty much every immunity in the game and almost guarantee max dmg for Hydras and FoH's lightning dmg. At times it can still be useful to slap all 6 hydras down while fighting demons and undead, especially before a boss/baal waves, the damage they provide can help to speed things up.

Just started watching these lately. Pretty funny and at the same time informative. Played D2 religiously back in the day. Just started playing D2R and following all your Sorc, Pally, Necro and Barb runs. Currently making a FoH/Tesla Pally.

The FOH changes are SO good, combined with holy bolts now hurting demons too. It is still balanced, since you will be restricted to single target damage on any non-demon or undead, particularly Ancients, Izual, and most of act 2 I would love to see bliz add charged bolts to lightning storm, keeping the low frequency of hits so that it doesn't become a stand-still-doing-nothing build :)

Tower level 3 is alvl40 so the crystal sword you got would have rolled 4 sockets from larzuk. The item level for a four socketed CS needs to be in the range of 26 to 40

1:23:05 that hitbox is due to having FOH on your left click... it's super annoying. It will make you cast FOH on mobs instead of walking to a location too.

Made it to Worldstone Keep in Hardcore Nightmare as a lvl 58 paladin and got swarmed by two Deathlord packs the moment I entered. RIP. Fist of Heavens worked spectacularly up till that point.

Yanno... I have loved FoH since before LoD was released. It is nice to see it will be powerful but I'm almost bitter that now almost every Pally rolled is gonna be my guy. As soon as I saw the changes to Holy Bolt and FoH, I made one on the PTR to test it. Pretty excited for 2.4, ngl.

I'm still a bit salty about the paladin getting another really cool build. And that my favourite necro build has to invest like 100 points in bone spear but still does less damage and has much higher mana costs and cannot heal. Unfair

@@tureliondurr Your fav necro build isn't weak as a kitten against Animal type creatures which make up a solid third or more of monsters, but I don't disagree. Pallys are overtuned. TBF, corpse explosion/amp/decrep is absurdly strong so it isn't like Necros have nothing going for them. FoH specifically has been basically useless since d2 launched (except in PvP). Regardless of the other absurdly strong Pally builds, I am glad to see it will be playable.

I've taken a FOH to lvl 83 Hardcore Ladder and I was surprised how much I ended up using holy bolt for HELL difficulty, like 60/40 with the actual FOH.

@@cryptosporidiom Y'all got no chill. We've waited 15 years for any meaningful skill changes. The online ladder test PTR got pulled down one week ago. Llama even said in another video that he didn't expect to see it for two weeks and ladder probably will be another week behind the live patch. Expect first or second week of April maybe.

I noticed it seems Llama didn't know this - when doing Radament, always go through the dock entrance into sewers lvl 1. The entrance to lvl 2 will ALWAYS be right above (top right side of the map) of that dock entrance or right below it (bottom right side of the dock entrance). It just saves you a couple of minutes running level 1 as you start at lvl 2. :)

at lvl 30 (foh requirement) you can have holy bolt maxed lvl 20 holy bolt 220 magic damage for 3 mana lvl 1 fist of heavens 200 lightning damage for 25 mana until you get a ton of mana, using foh at all is pointless

You don't spend 5 points for Redemption, you spend 5 points for Redemption, Cleansing and Vigor - to zip around the town at least, especially when farming Trav and having to run to the far away waypoint over and over, Charge is better outside of town. All that utility is worth the measly 5 points. If anything I'm less interested in Conviction, since the FoH + Smite build Llama made a video about seems much more interesting than pure FoH anyway. In that setup you would need 5 points again just for 1 point in Conviction, but all the other auras along the way are basically useless (you use Fanaticism in that build so Might doesn't count solely towards Conviction)
