With some minor farming this build should be a stroll through hell and able to farm lots of lv85 area. Love the change, will build one with smite when the patch is live. I just hope they can optimize the targeting mechanism on console.

Hi MrLlamaSC, I would be really happy if you would also do a hardcore play through for every class one day * _ * Not for every build, but the most safe playthrough for a class and then how to change builds after playing through, like safe set-up for a HC Trav-Zerker or Pitt-Zerker or a Chaos Hammerdin or Baal Java what ever :)

Can't believe you were talking about "living on the edge" before you started this build, and it cruised through all difficulties just like a Hammerdin. Sure it had it's tough areas, but it also had areas where it did better than a Hammerdin.

Llama says aggressive, for everyone else that just means reckless. This would be a good character for quick casting. Leave holy bolt on left click and have FoH on quick cast as it auto targets anyways.

When fighing 'only' demons and undead, honestly spamming holy bolt with good positioning feels way better than actually using foh. Try a countess run with just holy bolt. This is where it 'passes' hammerdin IMO, Hammerdin is still better overall but when fohdin shines, it shines brighter than hammerdin for that area.

Ah, we didn't play much single player unless we didn't have internet. It was like when D2 was first released so I wasn't sure if they fixed that or not. Also he didn't have internet at that time so we couldn't really look it up on the spot. He was only at the underground passage so he just started again

imo there are 2 options: when you get your HOZ or when you respec to hybrid FOH/Smiter. If you are hybrid you skip conviction so you can pump holy shield after FOH+HB, on the conviction build its way more shield dependent.

I'm leveling a tesladin/foh, just have enough skills into zeal for 5attacks, maxed holy shock, fist of heavens, holy bolt and resist lightning, that's the aim but it's lvl58 right now, seems like it's going to be good, zeal wrecks maggot lair, it's nice to have strong ranged, strong AOE from range and good melee AOE from zeal holy shock tesladin aspect. I can kill bosses really fast with that and use foh to clear packed rooms full of monsters, eventually I'll hero edit one and deck it out in runewords.

Really you can use almost any aura with foh now but none really help you kill beasts faster than conviction. Maybe with insane insane gear but mines not there yet.

I never liked the Hammerdin playstyle: never had teleport, never could rely on spinning hammers hitting 50%, lousy in tight spaces. THIS build is the anti-demon horde killing fun! As a Paladin Crusader should be! (Animal/Beasts are tough, but ran a Barb merc who chewed them up for me.)

No. FoH pre-2.4 does the lightning strike, the holy bolts only damage undead and they don't pierce. Pretty much the only people who used FoH pre-2.4 were PvPers.

I played foh in 1.13 and I can say it was rough as heck. Basically you skip all mobs and head to the boss and boy did they die slowly. In pvp as long as they didn't stack light absorb and res you could kill easily.

Act 3 merchant Wait until you are level 23 and check all staff that are red for "of téléportation". They are level 24 that's the logic behind shopping AT level 23. You need about 200 k gold. Sometime you can get a plain one for cheaper...

+% dmg only applies to melee PHYSICAL hits... so when you cast it doesnt When you have +fire/cold dmg it doesnt When you have + min/max dmg it does On melee hits (I think on range it works but with less effectiveness +300% melee = +150% range... could be wrong about the range part)

You can beat Hell with selffound Throwbarb without excess farming an area - I did that in 2.4 PTR. Just spend some time to buy good damage throwing weapons from Anya,Fara,etc... I bought 20-200 Winged axe like that. That should get you an idea of if you need only endgame gear.

I don't understand why blizzard makes a new S tier build only for paladin, and why not for the other classes (except sorceress who already has blizzard or javazon), an S tier is missing for necro, one for druids, and one for Barb!! , and little compensation for trapsin and bladesin

MrLlamaSC, knowing that you have developers ears, I leave this comment hoping that you would consider delivering it to them if you agree with me. I tried the official general discussion forum but it did nothing. I believe it wasn't even ignored. I noticed that Resurrected does not have that faint fog system in the mini-map. The one that dissipates as you pass through. In addition to maps being revealed on the mini-map, this fog system specified the area you passed through, making the whole exploration more efficient. This system was especially helpful in single player mode, since the map stays the same there. If you think this system is something people would find helpful, like, and that you agree, please suggest this idea to the developers. Also, this is kind of a side wish but what do you think about making zakarum zealots not run away? You know, how they just run away and never even fight after certain quest? I found that as a huge shame, especially because I found them to be the coolest monsters in the game. Hahahahaha. 😅 Well, that's all I have to say. Humbly, please and thank you.

It hurts my soul that he hasn't just bitten the bullet and gotten the spirit broad sword by the time he entered hell. The extra mana + insight would probably make him nearly non-dependent on potions.
