This is the first game that, rather than just giving an often useless description of the voice types, actually features which voice actor did what voice right on the selection screen. This is a feature I'd love to see in more games!

It's kinda nice, but on the other side there are many, many Smartphone Games from Asia where this is the case since years. Like, it wouldn't be too difficult just adding the names of all the VA.

Also you have your user save and each character has their own save progression Dont worry about your upgrade points because you'll be able to respec later For Co-Op every player needs a switch and their own copy of the game There is no 2 player on a single switch You can start the story at the Bar and it will give options for single or multiplayer Local or Online One last thing this game is NOT easy the difficulty dosent gradually increase it jumps from level to level So Prepare to Die a LOT

Yeah, sucks that the "local co-op" meant "local area network" co-op. Though, I will tell you now, the online actually works REALLY well. I've got a copy myself, and any time I've done worldwide matchmaking - I've had little to no connection issues. Also, if you ever need/want an "Empress" class player to help out on some quests - feel free to hit me up. I may have 20+ hours in the game, but I'd be sure to change my equipment around - so that everything stays balanced.

Why did they think it was a good idea to label local network as local coop? That usually signifies two players of more on one console, so I don't know what they were thinking.

Well, it's probably due to the fact that - here lately - a lot of companies have been relabeling what used to be known as local, as simply "split-screen". That way local can be used for a different label, with the advent of close range wireless communication between devices - that doesn't require the internet.

A big reason this game isn't shared screen is because all the characters have unique ways to explore the levels, so more often than not your characters will split up while exploring the stages.

I played it at a gamestop ages ago. Looked great, but the whole timed aspect to things didn't appeal as much. Maybe I was misjudging it, but it felt like you were supposed to go a lot faster in Gunvolt than in MegaMan.

I actually didnt bother with the time aspect, i just treat it as an arcade shoot them up but ya, you are right, the pacing in Gunvolt is alot faster than Megaman, he does feels like an even more zippier version of x

This is so not like dragon crown. This is plodding and slow. No brawler elements... this is more slow metroidvania. Can't even compare it to salt and sanctuary as that was faster. The arc is just aggro lines. They use them in a lot of of japanese games.
