Today Warren and Justin are joined in the cage with Tom from Themeborne to play their newest release of Escape the Dark Sector.
The guys get into a spot of bother while exploring the depths of Space, getting wrapped up in the shady spots of the Dark Sector they have to master their cunning, wisdom and might in order to work together to escape this vile and crude station of the abyss.
Will they make it out alive or will they find their demise in Escape the Dark Sector.

I play escape the dark castle a lot, sometimes we play before a dnd session whilst waiting for the players to arrive/dm to get ready etc. Ill be getting this!

My copy of Escape the Dark Sector arrived yesterday and I've been playing it non stop. Such a well put together game, I love the shooting aspect and being able to flank. Just like Escape the Dark Castle, this game is very unique and you can tell is a labour of love from the Themeborne team. Excellent customer service from Themeborne as well. When I previously ordered an expansion for Castle I was missing a die. They sent out a new one immediately and I got an email from Tom himself. I highly recommend both the Escape games.

Rules question: When it says combat special where enemy shoots first, wouldn't that apply to every combat round and not just the first round as was done in the video?

Its probably just the first time it gets shot at. Dunno.

Enemy shoots first - means before first enemy will shoot. Subsequent rounds enemy and crew shoot at same time.

BoNeZ i agree. i bought some wooden heart tokens from Meeple Source for Escape the Dark Castle. pad and paper for health is not ideal.

i bought everything for Escape the Dark Castle. i liked it decently enough and was into it as i explored the content. after about 30 plays i lost almost all interest. it was a little too light for me. in Escape the Dark Sector, the ranged + melee combat might be enough. hard to tell, but i’m tempted.

@@CaptainPerfect I am old enough to remember this style of art in games the first time around. I am not nostalgic for poor artwork. Just pay up and get some good art. The game looks simple but fun, just not pleasing to the eye. Of course, this is subjective.

@@Subcomandante73You are absolutely right, art is subjective. If this isn't for you, no one can change your mind. But if you can get around it, it will be an awesome game, as was their earlier game escape the dark castle, I highly recommend it.

Wow, cheap, cheap, cheap... if this game retails for more than £9.99 it's a hard pass for me. I could produce better art than they have on those cards... and with 2-3 hours I could produce way better cards, given an internet connection and a colour printer. If you want my money, you really need to produce something more attractive... this looks like a Beta test copy... and I don't pay for Beta test copies, they are given out for free so you can discover if your game works. Not saying the game doesn't work, just pointing out they forgot to take the project to Alpha and decided to sell the Beta copies. Bad, bad, bad....
