I was always very fond of the pawnshop owner. Something about his voice and mannerisms just struck me as likable, and in spite of being described as a tough-looking man, his concern for Alexander (such as during the 'death' scene) was touching.

Yeah, I always felt like he was someone you could trust. Him letting Alex trade the same items in and out is actually pretty nice of him, along with giving Alex a chance to buy back his ring. Much more noble than you'd expect from a guy running a pawn shop. I hope Alex invited him to the wedding :)

I bet Jollo's voice acting was patterned after Ed Wynn (who was the Mad Hatter in the 1951 Disney "Alice in Wonderland," among other roles).

Ahh! I got so excited to hear Dave Fennoy as the voice of the pawn shop owner - known to Monkey Island fans as King Andre from the third game. Always loved him in that game, and he's great here too.

Watching these KQ walkthroughs has made me realize.... Roberta Williams kinda sucks, huh? Jane Jensen does KQ better than its creator. KQ 3 story wasn't too bad though, was that also written by Williams?
