Judge! Laurie should've lost those swiftfoot boots for the endgame, pretty sure they were Blair's. Not that it makes any difference. Things like this are bound to happen. It's damn near impossible to get through a commander game with some missed triggers and rules mistakes. It's like a little mini-game in every online commander video to spot them.

He also misplayed the shinobi at the end by merging together Nashi and the shinobi's combat damage triggers. Shinobi exiles from the player who was damaged's library (John's, who was out of the game so the library didn't exist anymore) and plays for free, nashi (who didn't trigger because they were blocked) exiles from each player's library and pays life instead of mana. But it was a long game and in the end made no difference to the game state and it's a cool card to have seen.

This is the only game I've seen where the steeling player isn't the target from the word go, and the group hug player is thought to be scary. What a world. Of course, maybe it's because group hug doesn't usually play the "Oops, I win" card so early, and focuses making other people so happy they don't notice all the value engines you have going on and smack each other.

Gonti doesn't let you play land cards that he's exiled. The text says you may "cast" that card for as long as it remains exiled. You "play" lands, and you "cast" basically everything else.

I mean, Theoretical Duplication *is* a Quandrix spell, and Quandrix is more or less Ravenclaw, so... yes, that, precisely 😂 1:03:13 Dom made an uncaught mistake. He used 5 mana to play the hydra, but it cost XGG. That means X = 3 (because 2 of the mana are the GG), so he should have only put 3 counters on it, not 5. Watching Laurie and Dom smirk about the idea of an upcoming board wipe, while Blair just casually continues their turn unaware, was highly amusing 😁 Jon unraveling after his destroy spell is countered by his own card.... Now you understand, newbie, why *everyone hates blue players.* 😂 I hope we one day see more Commander on NRB (maybe with custom decks instead of just precons?), even if it's not sponsored.

A non-commander magic game can have more than 2 players. There a several formats like 2-headed giant, with 2 players in one team playing against one or more other teams. Two things, that are different from regular magic is, that in a commander deck have to be exactly 100 cards, where in regular magic a deck can have AT LEAST 60 card, and no card, exept basic lands, can be in your deck more than once.

possibly the first time NRB is playing a game i know well, except monopoly. When told to guess, i made my predictions without knowing who would be on the episode. I guessed Ms Bumbleflower correctly, obviously. That whole set is MADE for Blair. I guessed Gonti correctly. I thought Dom would be on the faeries. and i thought Sully would be on this one, with the disguise deck.

I had played MTG back when it first came out until maybe about 5 or so years ago. I liked playing it back then and then when I came back though I had come to dislike what they did to the game as well as the company. I knew some of the original creators of it. I was not sure if I would enjoy this game but NRB always makes things enjoyable to at least watch. Blair for one did a very good job but well like what always happens you become a threat your teamed up on and killed. I still have some of my old Beta decks that I would play for ante and a few others including my commander decks but gave away and sold the majority of my old collection.

Spoiler: So at 59:50, Jon copied Ms. Bumbleflower. I don't have the most knowledge of the rules, so I have a rules question: Ms. Bumbleflower says "If this is the second time this ability has resolved this turn, you draw two cards". So if Blair cast a spell, then Jon cast an instant after, because he has a copy and the ability happened, would Jon draw 2 cards, also stopping Blair from drawing 2 cards?

No as they identify as their own objects. Blair's triggers are separate from Jon's. They only check what you who control the card do not what your opponent does.

No. The pirates were created from a triggered ability on Nettling Nuisance. Ms Bumbleflower just triggers from casting a spell.

No. Bumbleflower only cares about you casting spells. I think you're thinking of Jolly Gerbils which Blair had, which triggers "Whenever you give a gift". But "giving a gift" is a specific ability some cards have, not just generally creating things for other players like the faerie did with the pirates. For example, Octomancer has the ability to gift an octopus to an opponent, which means that when the octomancer enters the battlefield the opponent gets an 8/8 octopus as a gift.
