The idea for it is great, and the balloon jumpscare was excellent, but otherwise they missed a lot of opportunities which make the game fall short, I think. Those slow pans were so obviously set up that it wasn't really that scary even... What I would have liked to see for the end was her popping up behind the glass door in front of you, would have been WAY more effective.

I agree with Chris' initial opinion of this game. It's not scary, it's actually pretty boring. It seemed like he tried REALLY hard to like it based on other people's recommendations but it just fell flat.

Don't bother with the sequel to this. While there are parts of the game that can seem overly challenging (hunting batteries, logging on to your coworker's computer, etc...) it's still far superior to what they made next. The sequel to One Late Night felt like it wanted to incorporate a lot of neat mechanics, but they forgot to build an actual game around it.

After you threw the candle on her, I was hoping for you to get some kind of ominous phone call like her saying _'heat doesn't affect someone who's come from hell'_, still a good game though.

This is a good example of how adding a hiding mechanic, like the big boy games Amnesia and Outlast, doesn't necessarily turn a cheesy, cliche-ridden, clunky mechanics horror game into something good
