Holy cow, this game did turn into the SWAT series. According to wikipedia about SWAT 2: "It retained a few adventure game elements in the form of an inventory and use of a few puzzle items such as a pizza (to draw a suspect out of a house)" ^ I sure don't remember that ever happening in that game. What I do remember is filling the building with tear gas and then smashing through the wall with a tank.

"Death, no matter how many times you see it, you never get used to it." You see lines like that in fiction all the time but it's usually not true. Never underestimate the human capacity to get used to shit.
@OdaSwifteye10 жыл бұрын
I always assumed that phrase is either based on the idea that you get tired of seeing it or you get immune to a specific experience and then the change up where you felt like you weren't ready to experience death in THIS sort of way that breaks the wall and makes you feeble to it again though it will probably be the last time for one reason or another. The phrase sort of suggests that you get used to things but life still has surprises for the well prepared.

I'll have you know, I am pretty sure that; a) Gabernaught's "...I was 17" excessive drinking/near death passout event/confused awakening moments/return to pot tale is a re-run from an earlier production/s. b) This game was a remake of a 1987 release, making the time frame in which it is based/fashion in late 80's not early 90's, seeing as it the THE SAME game, or so I would think. Although it does also appear at times 90's-esque. c) IF we can take the speedometer reading to be the larger centre dial in the squad car, at certain points in time, the car/driver are traveling at speeds that, even for police, are incredibly reckless (i.e no possible higher reading). d) The gun/ammo shopfront at ~50:39, also stocks bait & tackle. e) Judging by it being a regular occurance in the past several/all retro games at anytime featuring portraiture women, Yahtzee&Gabernaught are apparently appalled by women who have hair styled at length that happens to sit in any other manner than heavily ironed/pressed so that each strand of hair sits parallel to one another (perfectly straight flat root to tip uniform hair). f) I, i) am aware that Gabernaught's claimed real name is not Gabernaught. ii) can't wait for the next part. "Orbs, Fuckin' Orbs" indeed.

"Not to mention if you're not careful, all of the cranial fluid will spill all over the good parts, and that adds a nasty flavor!" "Yes, that's why I said to not remind me." "And all the permits you have to sign to even dispose of it when it's been cooked! Cooking the brain creates a poisonous surface!" "Yes, I know everything you are telling me, that why I don't need to be reminded." "And your girlfried will have the most _nastiest_ smell to it when she's ready to eat. Boy, I really don't envy you right-" "DO YOU UNDERSTAND A SINGLE WORD THAT'S COMING OUT OF MY MOUTH?!?!?!" My favorite VGA title was Count Down, a CIA operative mystery which you are racing against the clock to find the whereabouts of a nuclear bomb. The stress in the game makes it feel realistic. I never played Police Quest except for a demo at a store but I did play King Quest and a couple of Leisure Suit Larry games. It's amazing that indie debs would make 2d games with this kind of style. Well according to Yahtzee's blog, his reason for the hiatus is retreading topics and dead-horse-beating. Considering that last Drown Out was full of the same SJW-bitching (which I don't normally mind) and culminated with drunk Yahtzee and Gabe arguing over something stupid, its probably what they needed. Its a shame, because I really liked the Lets Drown Outs, it gave me a reason to look forward to my Sunday nights. I just thought there is more they can do with it.

Fuck yeah, didn't think a video was being posted this week, but it lands smack dab on my birthday. I'm excitedly posting this before I've finished the video so I don't know if you're still doing questions, but what are your opinions on the miniseries format? I feel like it's an untapped medium, and since not enough people are willing to make them, we end up with a lot of films that are both too long to watch easily and not long enough to make sense. Also, I know Yahtzee has a soft spot for TNG, but what are your opinions on the other Star Trek shows? Favorite non-Picard captain?
