Gameplay Notes: some things we didn't get quite right in our first game our; - Cool Down is simultaneous. When one person finishes the other has to wait for them to run out of action dice before cooldown. Then initiative is rolled again. - You can only dump additional action dice into Attacks, not other actions (this was a holdover from MonPoc we made an assumption about that wasn't correct). Will be fixed next game!

Enjoyed the lets play. Few more corrections (I know you play a lot of games in quick succession so lots of rules in your head at once. Totally doesn't impact my enjoyment): - I don't think you need to Rig to get a treasure chest. Just spend the action die to Raid (or not if it's a class match) and roll one blue. - Death trap gets moved at the end of each person's turn so I think it would have gotten moved at least once. - Shooting is not affected by barriers such as spawn gates and treasure beacons. The only requirement for making an attack is that the enemy is within your range. No LOS considerations are made. Again, lots of fun to watch. So interesting to see how differently you guys played to my wife and I. We were so much more focused on getting 2 point objectives since it only takes 3 + 1 other to win. Barely any kills in our games except when convenient. Would love to see a 4 player Bat rep of Riot Quest. :D

Thanks for the Let's Play on this one. Not a fan of single player starters. Means I need two starters to play at home. That is one of the reasons I didn't start MonPoc. After watching the video I prefer Aristiea for hex style arena combat.

(Chikahiro/Sam) Great to watch! I just got the core set and am slowly painting through the minis. As soon as I can get the Wave 1 minis I'll be introducing the game to friends and SM. I like how Hungerford describes the game as "Smash Brothers with all the items turned on."

Looks like PP was jealous and now they have an Aristeia! of their own. I dunno, the MacGuffin here seems really forced. Seems like it might be fun to play, though, and PP does make pretty models.

Are there multiple starter sets like monsterpocalypse has the defender starting set and The Invader or is it just those five Heroes and then you start getting into the wave 1 2 excetera? My gaming group has one maybe two more weeks of our d&d campaign and so I'm looking at different games we can play. I like games that have setups for 3 + player games.

I think for picking heroes and Riot Gear you should have done a draft. Roll the dice and the winner picks if he wants to pick Hero first or Riot Gear first.

so im like...almost done this video and i got two thoughts off the bat: 1) I hate how PP has been doing starter sets for these new games. It's so hard to like, introduce a friend to Monpoc or this because of the single player starters when i would have happily like, paid more for a two player set and been able to keep it like, handy to show off to someone when we're playing something else 2) this looks like a much more colourful, much more bombastic Shadespire? Like both mechanically and visually and I'm super digging this look

@@Anjohl That's great for you personally but as the OP said above you're having to buy 2 starter sets and double up on a lot of stuff if you want to have a set you can get your friends into.

Something confusing me while looking into this: are the other models not available yet? So to play this right now, you'd need 2 of the starter boxes, so you'd both have the same models I guess, right?
