I'm glad to see that you're making use of my previous comment! However, I do have some more information to add, and stuff I forgot to mention in yesterday's comment. (Huge information dump below.) The Emerald Dragons currency is extremely inflated, 1 Al'Ankh Lion is ~9 Emerald Dragons, and 1 Aestrin Crowns is ~3.6 Emerald Dragons. (Value's from here and to the end of the comment are taken from my game, so could differ in yours.) The reason you cannot mount those sails is shown in the lower left of the dock's menu, specifically in the "Current order" right below "Clean hull". If a sail is (OBSTRUCTED), that means it collides with your boat or something on your boat, (for example, if you have a lantern hook on a mast, you cannot move the mast,) while if it says (SAILS COLLISION) that means that sail is colliding with another. Square sails can also collide with a stay, so you cannot have a stay running through the middle of your square sail. Also a few episodes ago when you were trying to mount a square 4yd sail on the bowsprit, you couldn't mount it because (MAST TOO SHORT), generally bowsprits only fit 3yd square sails. Some things I forgot to mention about the trade menu, is that you can sell at any time of day by putting your crate, (for example, your Tea crate,) in the spot that crates from the trade menu or missions spawn. Another thing that I forgot to mention due to not fully knowing how it works is where it says "Days ago" in the trading menu, I believe that says that the price shown is that many days old, I could be wrong but I believe it resets to 0 about every in-game week, or each time you arrive at the island. Each day, or maybe twice each day, I haven't really checked, the goods available in a port will increase, decrease, or stay the same. Sometimes a very low amount of goods not commonly found in the region will appear in a port's trade menu, for example, I have seen "Cheese" in some ports in Al'Ankh, and the Emerald Archipelago, usually in the capital cities, and as you probably know, Cheese is usually only found in Aestrin. Another port that can have rarer goods is "New Port", at least for me, it has "Iron" imported from Aestrin, and "Lamb" imported from Al'Ankh. Trading these rarer goods can yield some very high profits. Something that you probably caught on to, is that as you purchase something from a port, for example, "Tea", the price will go up, and as you sell something to the same or another port, the price you gain per crate goes down due to them not needing as much of it. If you sell a LOT to a port, (I once sold like, 80 dates to a port,) that port will start temporarily exporting it (offering for you to buy it). Unsure as to how long that port will export that type of cargo for, though, I haven't tested it. You can change the currency shown in the trading menu in the lower right of it, as well as change the region in the upper right to compare the prices of the current port to those on other archipelagos, which is a good option when looking to trade between island chains, for example, if I bought "Wine" for 464 Emerald Dragons, (~52 Al'Ankh Lions,) I could sell to Alchemist's Island for ~120 Al'Ankh Lions, (~1083 Emerald Dragons). Usually if something doesn't increase in value much in an archipelago, it can either be imported from, or exported to, a different archipelago for a profit. Something I usually do, is check the price of things that aren't being sold (exported) from the port I am docked to, for example, I cannot buy "iron" from Dragon Cliffs, but I can buy it from New Port, and sell it to Dragon Cliffs for a guesstimated ~18000 Emerald Dragons. (Bought at New Port for ~19181 Emerald Dragons, and sold to Dragon Cliffs for ~37224 Emerald Dragons.) Last thing I have to say, is that when buying from the trading menu, or selling by putting it where the trading goods from the menu spawn and then selling it through the trading menu, is that you can click "Get receipt" when you are done to easily check how much you earned during a trip without having to add and subtract. To access the receipts you have gotten, click "trade receipts" next to "reputation" and "daily logs" in the "log" menu. I'm look forward to future videos! If you are ever confused by something to do with the economy mechanics, I'll try to help to the best of my ability. (Sorry for the information being a bit jumbled or confusing, I wrote it down as I thought of more things to add.
