I think the TEC Rebel's fleet might be at a distant planet, and those Kol battleships are trying to reinforce it. That would explain why they're traveling unescorted, they're simply going through this area on their way to the fleet.

hey just a quick question which update version is this?

The short series are better because you can show all factions then your normal really long series that go months. There are still countries in HOI4 you haven't played yet in 10 years that game has been out. Can you do the other Vasari next? Then you have done all the factions. 4 factions is not enough for replayability, hope they plan to add more. And not in DLC, 4 in base game is not enough!

There will be two more factions added to the base game, the Advent Reckoning & Advent Reformation, before the Steam release. I'd like to eventually do a Vasari Exile campaign, but I think the next one we do will be with one of the Advent factions.
