Didn't know about that one 1up, Though in Lava Reef Act 1 alone I went from x99 to x106. I didn't know it had that many lives. Then Act 2 gives you a freebee. When you fall into the pit where the Death Egg activates the lava, you get a 1up when you collect those 3 rings. I had 176 rings so I know it wasn't from getting another hundred. My score wasn't close to any dividend of 50,000. Must be a glitch.

I speedrun(try to anyways) this game so I usually try to stand on the tip of the water he brings up so I can reach him for quick hits coz when you skip the level theres nowhere to pick up a bubble shield.
